This is one of the MVs that I really like (it seems that actually I like all of her MVs :) ), that MV was actually shot in New York, where at that time she went there to train for her singing skills (did it get better? I think so).
This song is about two lovers from known to date and nearly to breaking up stages. The first few lines she sang is "the couples seemed really happy, holding hands on the road. It seems everythings perfect. But who knows the truth?" Somehow it's like the concept of "because of dating so I date" theory. Behind it is actually quite sad that they don't have the passion towards each other.
Usually before lovers date they talk on the phone to know each other more (is it true? I'm not quite sure.) Maybe a few more times they started to go out and then they date. It seems it's really ordinary for any boys and girls to do so. People in love do tend to be happy and crazy about their other half.
Sorry, I think I can't analyse this song well, can't be too deeply focus but I can tell you my feelings towards it. This nice melody tune really captures my heart when I first hear it, though I don't know the lyrics. Later as I knew the lyrics is nothing special, but if you guys have dated or broken up already you must had the feeling what she wants to express. I don't find this song particular sad, it's more like what you think about love. Is it do you want to date so you date, or is it you don't want to keep this relations so you give up......something like this. If you guys still don't have a CLUE what I'm talking about? Don't worry, neither do I.
Just like the song title, vogue means fashionable stuff. But fashion stuff comes fast, and goes fast. Is it the same as in love? Ayumi used "lover as flower", saying that it really blossoms at first place and it is very beautiful. Afterwards, it withers and fall. But she doesn't seem to regret. Because the most precious memories and days she spent with her lover she doesn't want to forget.
Isn't this a more positive song about breaking up? I don't know. Most of her songs seemed to be really negative about it (like far away, makes me really want to cry). But this song is put lover in a state that he or she will not last long anyway, so why not enjoy the times that they've been through together in these days?
When I first listen to this song I really like the intro. Really chinese. Don't know why, but didn't you notice that in her dome tour 2000 she actually created the image of "chinese doll look" for this song? The red dragon style cheongsam really looks stunning on her. It's a really cute song. I listen to it when I'm in a good mood.....na I listen to it whenever I feel like it.
One of the saddest song (yeah, worse than end roll, that's what I think) in Ayumi's song.
The first few lines "start all over again. Let me be like you. Let you be like me". It says about that once we were called as lovers. Not anymore now. The sea we used to look at now it's only me seeing it. Happiness to her is like something will slip away from her fingertips. It's hard to catch.
Our love seems to be like a stop. But to them, it's like a start and an end for both. Summer is coming, a summer without you............
After breaking up..........it hurts right? especially when you don't get use to the fact that you will be alone, not anyone that you can depend on or call at night. Someone once told me that breaking up is in fact a hard process. I never doubt that. It is impossible for people to get hurt after breaking up, but does that mean you don't need to do anything and "wollow in your sorrow"?
But sometimes I think it's cool to be pessimistic about love. it seems like that your attitudes towards it is different from other people? You can actually learnt how to grow and love? I guess. It's not that bad after all. It's a start and end. An end is the beginning of a start. It goes on forever. Then one day, it will be so far away that you even can't remember what had happened.
Do you know why I said this is my favourite song? It has a really nice piano tune melody and Ayu's voice really touches me. I won't specifically recongnize this song as a generally type of love song, it's more about how are we searching for the answers of life. "Another season has passed away. Memories seemed to fade away. Boundaries of dream and reality is uncertained, but seemed to be clearer and clearer."
I really like her lyrics saying about the "time factors", it's like, I always wonder. Now, at this time, what were I doing last year? (sleeping? probably.) It makes me really think. Dream and reality. Who will know which is true. It seems that my dreams are in reality,but when I thought it's real they're actually in my dreams, so frustrating....but seems that the dreams I've told you were never wrong........
For today we are happy forever, but then we started to be missing something. Are we borned in the wrong timing? Ever felt depress about life? Are you unhappy? Don't worry. In different seasons' time, we are living now, what actually we get? I don't know. Keep searching. If you love your life and family and friends ,that will be the motivation for you to live on. Don't say you feel depress in life. Everyone lives in the same world. We are always even in different ways. I have to admit that the world is unfair (why I didn't get higher marks). Just keep in mind that no matter way happens, there wll always be someone thinking about you. Where? I don't know, the other side of the world? your friends? Your lover? Your parents? You never will feel lonely. Seasons represents time. And we have to value time. Never tell me how much one seconds worth, they slipped out so fast even light speed can't chase back. Value yourself and time. Don't make your life feel meaningless. ( I hope you know what I mean, otherwise this will be really crap........)
