He was raised by his mother and his stepdad ( his has a number of half-brothers and half-sisters). His father walked out on them when Dean was very young. Dean's father was a wizard. He got killed by Death Eaters when he refused to join them. * Theodore Nott was raised by an elderly widower and Theodore's Death Eater father. He is a clever loner and doesn't feel anything for joining gangs, whether good (Harry's) or bad (Malfoy's). * There is NOT going to be a character named Icicle in the books. * It's important that Harry has Lily's eyes.
