| Guesses to who is the Half Blood Prince! Blaise: JKR said that we would hear more about Blaise Zabini. Maybe this is the way in which we hear more about him. Dean: JKR said that Dean's storyline was... er... shifted aside because of Neville's. Dean's father is, or rather was, a wizard. According to JKR he was killed by Death Eaters when he refused to join them. Dean's father had left him and Dean's mother when Dean was little and Dean's mother remarried. Daddy dearest hadn't told that he was a wizard. So why did Voldemort want Dean's father on his side. He must have been very powerful... otherwise he wouldn't have wasted his time and let him life... ( info from jkrowling.com) Draco: This is an interesting rumour I've heard. I will now tell why I consider this an option: Draco was very present in the Chamber of Secrets. JKR. Stated that the books are a bit linked. I've read many stories about Harry being subject of a Blood Charm Potion or something, but what if it's not Harry but Draco... That Draco is adopted by the Malfoy's that he is the son of Bellatrix and Voldemort... and thus Slytherin's heir/prince? This case he still is a half-blood, because of Voldemort. Voldemort is a halfblood and so his offspring would be too! Another idea here is to link to OotP. Draco gave Ron the nickname "Weasel King"... And the Malfoy's are wealthy like a king... and Draco is thus a prince, since the fortune belongs to Lucius... Dudley: This is a wild guess... Is Petunia a Squib. She obviously knows more of the magical world than she leads on... So if she really had a tiny bit of magic in her, but not enough to go to Hogwarts... Dudley would be a half-blood. (JKR said that Petunia isn't a Squib! So Dudley isn't the HBP) Godric Gryffindor: Maybe that's the real reason for the break between Salazar Slytherin and the rest of the founders of Hogwarts. Hagrid: Hagrid is certainly a Half Blood. What was his father exactly? We know Hagrid father was a wizard, but not how important he was to the magical community. (Note: JKR is reported to say that Hagrid isn't the HBP!) Lockhart: It's a possibility. However remote it's still a possibility. See Remus. Lucius: There are no references about Lucius being all pureblooded. We know Narcissa is pureblooded, but Lucius... It is a thing you would want to hide... Remus: Who says it can't be a grown-up? Remus is a half-blood. JKR has mentioned that in an interview. But this is highly unlikely since it was a title originally for the book now called Chamber of Secrets... and Lupin wasn't in that one... Seamus: Seamus is a half-blood, that's true... But I don't think he's the HBP. Why? I don't know, but I don't think so. Snape: Another guess, which I don't give much chance. I can imagine someone not wanting to look at your innermost thoughts, but what exactly is Snape hiding in the Pensieve, other than his worst memory that is... |
