Background

Cow has been of prime importance in the our national agriculture and economy since ages. Before the unfortunate phase of indiscriminate mechanisation and chemicalisation of agriculture under the influence of devastating consumerism, agriculture was not possible without cow. Similarly cow powered machines were basis of self reliance of millions of household industries. Cow urine, dung, curd, milk and ghee (panchagavaya) were use liberally in indigenous and other systematic systems medicines.

Since today's cow-less agriculture and economy has not been able to sustain itself, cow promotion has been advocated for holistic and sustainable national development.

Scientific research has demonstrated that cow based agricultural products are not only acting as rejuvenators for farmers, agriculture and environment but, are also curing hundreds of diseases gifted to us by so called modern life style.

On one hand, inspite of possessing curative properties for over 102 incurable human diseases, the indigenous cow has become a subject of charity for its survival on the other hand, the same miraculous cow of our land has been valued for over one crore Rupees in some Latin Aamerican countries.

Now the time indeed has come that we recognise our Indian cow considering it as a backbone of agriculture and national economy and work for its conservation. For this purpose, to give a wake up call to society and bureaucracy and to prepare ourselves it has been resolved to organise `National Seminar on Cow based Agriculture & Economy' at 'Vishwa Bharti Kisan Jagriti Shikshan Sansthan, Shree Ladwa Gaushala', the truly people owned institution which has done a pioneering work for the poplularisation of cow based agriculture amongst millions of farmers and common people since last over 10 years.
