READ WHAT OTHERS HAVE WROTE TO THE NEWSPAPER THIEF!!!!
MY NEWS PAPER HAS GONE MISSING!
Operation: Redhand
I've narrowed it down to 1 potential suspect. male, age 40, fat build, 5 foot 6 to 5 fott 7, 170 lbs.
I woke up really really early! I set a trap for him, I took an old news paper and rolled it up and put it right next to the storm door... he walked by my house, stopped right in front of my house... looked at the newspaper, looked both ways up and down my street... looked back at the newspaper bait, he walked away, due
south.
i think it's cuz i put the bait too close to the door and he felt it wasn't worth the risk . if i laid it further out near my steps, he would've snatched it and i would have me a hostage!
he came back up my street (heading north), once again, he stopped about 10 seconds to look at my house and the bait... he walked away...
jeez, i felt like Pacino in "Heat" when he had DeNiro staked out from the top of the building... life imitating art? or art imitating life?

Operation: Redhand DAY 2
6:00 AM, Eastern Standard time....
My newspaper still has not arrived. The fresh snow on the ground with no foot prints confirms that no one has been on my property to neither deliver my paper nor steal it.
The suspect passes my house at exactly 6:11am, and quickly scans my house. suspect continues walking due south. the delivery person arrives within a matter of seconds. I greet him and
stay inside my door as he hands me my newspaper, i plant the bait.
I was hoping that the suspect would be waiting around the corner. and as soon as the delivery person drives off, he'd come by and fall for the bait. but the suspect didn't:(
apparently he went off and purchased (or stole! who knows?) a copy of today's paper for himself.
On his way back, he continues to scan my house, i'm sure he saw the bait. I believe he still has my house marked for a future attack!
There is another walkway directly across the street from me and when he makes his return trip passing my house again, he uses this walkway.
Judging by his return route the reason why he GOES OUT OF THE WAY to walk by my house is solely for the reason of stealing my paper!
Operation: Redhand DAY 3
Day 03 of "Operation: redhand" began at exactly 6:08 am and ended at exactly 6:11 am.
This was NOT a drill ladies and gentleman... there was no time to prep and run thru the scenario. It was do or die!
Camera ready, the suspect's approach and intent to steal my newspaper came very, very suddenly, and more abrupt than any training simulation I would've concocted.
Suspect fell for the bait, and immdiately closed in.
I turned on the porch lights as he made contact and he played as if he was the delivery person and was trying to hand me the paper and SNAP!
Here's how it went down.
He quickly approached my house and without hesitation he took 2 steps onto my property and went for the paper.
I opened my inner door, turned on the porch lights at which point he immediately turned around and made it look as if he was delivering the paper to me... he was saying "take it... take it...!" either that or he knew he was guilty and was saying "take it... take it...!" in a "do'nt beat me up...!" kinda way...
I opened the storm door and stepped outside, snapped the pic and thanked him politely...
I didn't want to stick around... I just went back into my house and watched behind my tinted windows as he walked away swiftly...:)
