Oh Brian, you are so funny, and smart, and extremely sexy unlike that guy I went with in Florida. What was his name? Rick? Whatever it was, it doesnt matter now Heather laughed, as Brain gently nibbled on her neck.

I always knew wed be together, Heather. I always knew you loved me. Brian stopped kissing her and looked into her beautiful brown eyes. Lets get married. Right now.

 Now?

Right now, He smiled. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I want the world to know that you are all mine forever and ever.

Forever and everForever and ever..

Nick sat up, bathed in sweat. It had been almost three months since hed talked to Heather, and he was beginning to worry. He knew she was busy, but shed always found some time to call him. But three months without any word from her was beginning to eat at him. At first he though she was upset at him for canceling his trip out to see her after his finals, but shed promised him it wasnt a big deal. But there had to be a reason she wasnt calling him. He looked at the clock. 3:38am. He reached over and grabbed his phone, quickly punching in Heathers number. He listened on the other end to the countless rings. Pick up pick up He said.

Hi youve reached Heathers answering machine-

Nick flung the cordless phone against the wall, hearing the phone shatter into pieces. Where are you Heather?

He ran his fingers through his sweat soaked hair and climbed out of bed. He quickly changed into some sweats and a T-shirt, and headed downstairs. He put on his sneakers and grabbed the keys and his wallet and left the house for an early morning jog. If shes fucking him, Ill kill her, he thought as he ran down the dark streets. Stop thinking like that Nick, youre losing it, He said aloud.

He ran until he couldnt run anymore only realizing where hed run to when he stopped to look at his surroundings. Hed run all the way to the airport. He hunched over, resting his hands on his knees. What the hell is wrong with me? He huffed. This is crazy,

After a few more minutes Nick stood again and headed into the airport, bound for California.

Nick! Jane called. Are you here?

She searched the house form top to bottom, looking for her son. No note, no phone call, he didnt even take his car. Shed heard a loud bang in the middle of the night that she thought came from Nicks room, and her suspicions were answered when she went into his room and found the phone smashed on the floor. No doubt this was about Heather. It had been ever since she stopped calling. He became unresponsive and spent days at a time on the boat, or out where he went she wasnt sure but she didnt have a good feeling. His grades were beginning to slip as well. Jane was pleased there was a break at school; maybe he could get himself together before school was back in session. If only she could find him

Nicks eyes opened slowly just as the plane was taxiing off the runway and pulling into the gate.
He looked out the window, forgetting where he was for a moment, then realizing hed just flown across the country and was now in California. He stood and got off the plane with the rest of the passengers. When he was in the terminal, he went straight to the payphones and punched in his calling card number and called Heather. He listened again to several rings before someone answered. Hello? The male voice said. Nick was speechless. She was cheating on him. He gripped the phone receiver tightly and started to speak when he heard her voice in the background. Who is it Brian?

Brian?! That was Brian! Nick was so upset he was visibly shaking, and he was on the verge of tears. Hello? Brian taunted. Is anybody there?  He stood there and listened to the commotion in the background. Here, Heather said. Give me the phone Hello? Heather said softly.

Hea..Heather, Nick said barely above a whisper.

Nick? She said. Is that you?

 I-Im here,

Nick honey, youre gonna have to speak up. I can barely hear you. Whatd you say?

Finding his voice, he spoke up. I said Im here,

 Here where?

At the airport. I just got here-

Youre here! At the airport! Why didnt you tell me you were coming!

 I wanted to surprise you,

Holy shit! Where are you? What gate?

Nick turned and looked. B7. Im at B7.

Stay there okay. Ill be there soon,

Okay, He said. He hung up the phone and walked over to the window, looking out at the planes. She didnt even try to hide it, He said softly to himself, allowing a few tears to fall. How could I be so stupid.

Heather ran through the airport, looking for B7. Of course, it would have to be all the way on the other end of the airport. She had to stop several times to sign autographs, but eventually made her way to concourse B. She went up the small incline and found B7 immediately. Nick was still standing by the window, but had stopped crying and was just looking out he window, void of any emotion. Nick! Heather called. He turned around and smiled weakly. Heather didnt notice his despondent behavior and ran into his arms hugging him tightly. I cant believe youre here! Ive missed you so much,
