To honor the legacy of Queen Mother Moore, in the spirit of her struggle for justice in housing, 477 West 142nd Street, in Harlem, New York City, was named Queen Mother Moore International House in the summer of 2004.  It was at this address that Queen Mother Moore spent countless hours working with her assistant Queen Mother Dr. Delois Blakely.
The property was acquired by Queen Mother Blakely in the 1970's through squatter efforts.  Once abandonned and a blight to the Harlem community, the property was latter given to the poor as a gift from Queen Mother Blakely and the New Future Foundation.
On Friday, April 9, 2004, the City of New York foreclosed on the property.  Consequently, Senior citizens and a profoundly handicapped young woman are at risk of becoming homeless.
New Future Foundation is reaching our to all for prayers and donations to help save Queen Mother Mooore International House.

For nearly a hundred years, Queen Mother Audley Moore was tireless in her efforts to mobilize other people to stand up with her against the crimes of United States imperialism.  Known as the Mother of the modern-day reparations movement, Queen Mother Moore's life's work spanned from fighting against racist oppression inside the U.S. to local community organizing, to fighting against imperialist attacks on Africa, to taking part in anti-war mobilizations.
Queen Mother Moore was heavily involved with organizing community struggles -- she organized the first Black rent strikes in New York City and broke the backs of the landlords of Harlem.
Moore helped to develop the strategy  of organizing the community to move the furniture of people evicted from apartments back inside the apartment and then stand off any attempt by the landlord's goons to re-evict people.
