This page shows my surfing experiences whether good or bad and gives other bodyboarders an idea of whether a surf spot is good or not.  I will try to update at least once a week
6/16/02-Today I surfed Wells Beach, ME.  At first it was like 1 and 2 footers, but then it started getting bigger until it reached about 3 to 4 feet.  Overall, it was fun surf.
6/21/02-Today I went to my favorite spot, York Beach, ME, and the surf was alot smaller than usual.  It peaked at like 1 and a half feet, but I had fun anyway.  I surfed for a while then bought a smoothie and chilled downtown for a while.
6/26/02-Next week, I'm going on vacation.  Although its a lake with no waves, I'll have fun anyway.  I might hitch my board to the back of the boat.
7/12/02-Today I surfed York again.  Small waves but warm water.
7/13/03-Today I surfed in Rye, NH.  I went to a crowded beach where the waves were small.
7/14/02-I surfed Rye again today but the waves were bigger and it was less crowded.  eBodyboarding.com said tropical season will kick in soon.
7/19/02-7/21/02-This weekend I surfed and jammed out with my friend and bandmate Chad in Hampton Beach, NH.  The waves were big and excellent.  Also, This site was put on the links/friends section of ebodyboarding.com!
8/11/02-For my birthday, three of my friends and I went to York.  I bought an underwater throw-away camera just for the occasion.  The pics are on the pics section of the site.  In addition to the mad sponging, we hit the arcade as usual, went to the roachy amusment park, and went to a reggae bar.  Rastafari!
1/17/03-Hi everyone- it is the dead of winter and I'm going crazy because I haven't surfed for months!  I snowboard and stuff but it's not filling my void for sponging! My friend who gets to surf Oahu every day told me to DK down a huge snowy hill.
5/19/03-Hell yeah! Its springtime and I'm all set to do some spongin!  I got a springsuit on ebay for 25 bucks with shipping and some fins for the same price! and a new surf shop opened up in York with a smoothie bar and shit so thats pretty sweet.  I'll definatley be hitting the water this weekend so look for some updates.
5/6/03-Today I ditched off school and went to Hampton, NH.  the waves were really flat and crappy but it was a nice day and I walked around on the strip after a frustrating session.
6/17/03-Excellent! school is officially out which means spongin to the max!  Today right after the last bell, I took off with my best brah Dylan and went to York.  the waves were good for a while, 2-3 but a little choppy.  There's a cool new little Liquid Dreams surf shop on Long Sands now with a smoothie shop.  Overall, it was a seriously excellent session.
6/25/03-Today I surfed York Beach with my spongin bud Jon.  The conditions were flat and poor, maybe an occasional 1 or 2, but the water was very warm, around 60.  It was refreshing because the air was like 90 degrees, so I was trunkin it.
6/26/03-Today I surfed The Wall (north beach in Hampton, NH for those who don't know) and the conditions were the same as yesterday, warm water, sucky waves.  In addition, there was a massive supply of seaweed on shore to make you not want to take the few rideable waves there were.
7/7/03- Surfed the wall today.  Waves were 1's or smaller- water seemed to be much cooler than last week though.
7/13/03- Today I surfed the wall once again.  Waves were great(it's about time!)  probably due to the fact that I got the drive to emerge from my bedroom before 10.  Waves were super fun- tons of surfers out. Also, I had to meet some fellow bodyboarders for once.  There were 4 spongers out there amongst probably 100 surfers- all of the bodyboarders older than my parents! and they were ripping!  I tested out my friend's new $200+ Wave Rebel polypro tamegea 42.5 board and it was great-contoured to the wave and my body perfectly, but my friend refused to wax it up because of it's untarnished beauty, so i took some pretty nasty nosedives and spills due to grip issues.  Later tonight,  I went for another session at Hampton Beach- not as big as the wall, but fun nonetheless- about 2's with an occasional 3.
7/15/03- Today I surfed the wall once again with my friends from Hawaii.  It was a shitty foggy and flat morning, and my friend commented that these beaches were the exact opposite to those of Hawaii.  He also yelled NEW HAMPSHIRE FUCKIN SUCKS  and got some death stares from other surfers in the water.  It was quite hilarious.
7/17/03- My family vacation brings me a bit further north in Maine, to Wells beach.  The surf was REALLY flat, to the point of not being surfable, even at high tide, which was quite disappointing.  It was a good skimboarding day, however.
7/18/03- Today I cruised up even further north to Kennebunk on this rainy day to check the surf, but it was looking more like a lake than the ocean so I didnt even bother stopping.  Later on, around 3:30 at high tide, I went to Wells beach again and surfed on some decent 1 to 2 footers that actually broke in the water, but I had to surf over barnacle covered rocks to get those waves, so I fucked up my foot. Oh well, all for the love of the wave.
7/26/03-8/2/03- Check out the huge SPONGIN EXPEDITION page for more info!!!
8/4/03- Today I surfed The Wall with my friends Jon, Jake, and James.  Choppy small waves, no more than waist high, but fun nonetheless- check the pic below!
8/11/03- Being my 18th birthday, I thought a spongin session was in order so some friends and I hit the wall for a session.  Unfortunatley, the waves were REALLY small and frustrating.  I did, however, but the 5th No Friends vid.
8/13/03- Today I went to The Wall again for a rainy, stormy session.  Unfortunatley the waves were very small and unsatisfying once again.
8/18/03- Surfed the wall again- some decent, waist high sets with nice warm water.
8/22/03- Surfed the wall again- horrible sucky ass waves- ankle high at best- not even rideable, bit I hear some tropical weather will be moving in next saturday!
8/30/03- Surfed the wall- decent waves, alot better than last week but still not good.  There's talk of  a hurracaine forming and coming up here. I can only hope!
9/6/03- Due to the 100+ mph winds of hurracaine Fabain, there were some MASSIVE waves at the wall today.  There were constant 3's and 4's at the least, and it was consistently head or over head high.  Some huge waves even came in from the swell, and I caught a huge 7-footer, probably one of the largest waves I've ever ridden.
