Four paddlers travelled the Barrow at from Graiguenamanagh to St Mullins on 7 August 06.
NKC held its 2005 Marathon Race on 2 October 05.
Paddy Hynes (Racing Canadian) and Michael O'F (Masters K1) paddled the 2005 Liffey Descent. Seven paddlers travelled the Barrow river from Athy almost to Maganey Bridge on the 2nd July. They stopped short and, after a group council & majority decision, they got out at the bridge a mile upriver from Maganey. See photos in the Newbridge Kayakers group page [login needed].

NKC hosted a Slalom competition on 5th March on the Liffey at Newbridge.
The club holds an annual Christmas paddle from Athgarvan to Newbridge every year and last year it was was held on Monday 27th December. 19 paddlers braved the journey. .
NKC supports both Kayak and Canoeing, with club members specialising in Slalom, Playboating, Marathon Racing, touring and 'messing about' on the river. The club meets most Saturday mornings at 10 AM at the Patrician Boys School, Newbridge. The club makes full use of the College Weir for practice and 'messing about'.
