Tetsuo:The Iron Man
Directed by: Shinya Tsukamoto
Circa: 1989
Runtime: 67 mins

I must have been in a weird mood this weekend.. I watch Zu, and  Both Tetsuo films. Check out my review for
Zu: The Warriors From Magic Mountain for that one.

This movie is freakin' strange.. since we don't have an "art" movie section, this movie can be considered "Horror" I suppose. It's really hard to explain, It's a fourth cyberpunk, fourth porn, fourth horror, and finally a dash of late night MTV video. You know the ones. The ones where NOTHING makes sense, and your senses are assaulted with a barrage of random and often quite disturbing Images. This movie is exactly like one of those. It's also almost cronenburgesque in it's execution.  It's also rather short, coming in at only sixty-seven minutes. Believe me though.. You won't even notice. This movie feels in all aspects like a full length ninty minute ride, and that is exactly what it is.

The movie starts out, with a man sitting in what looks like a junkyard. He then decides to, for no reason at all keep in mind, he shoves a metal bar into his leg. Then we see a bunch of weird ass images, then finally  we see maggots and other goodies crawling around in his new wound. Then he totally freaks out.. runs around some, then next thing you know we see him in his bathroom shaving. He see's "something" on his face, touches it, and it explodes like a really big zit on his face. Next in this wonderful story, we get to see our um... "hero" Tetsuo being chased by a woman with a biomechanical type hand thing.. Then we see her, umm.... uhhh..
*thinks* giving him pleasure... anally.. *gags*

Ok.. I just read my review, and It's obvious that I'll never be able to explain this movie to it's fullest.. Let me just say it's some weird shit..

It basically shows the man slowly turn into this bio-mechanical machine thing with a spinning drill penis thing..

It actually kinda reminds me of Creepshow one. Where stephen king touches the meteor.
*kinda*

If your into anime, horror, porn, or even art films, check this one out.. I mean It was critically acclaimed after all. Even though it sounds like a 70's stag film..
*giggle*

Lupin-III
Lupin's Death Count

although this is could be classified as a legitamate horror film. There isnt really a death count.
*hard to explain*

Funny Things I Noticed

There's alot of things in this movie, that you could look at one of two ways. For instance, if you were with a group of friends watching this movie.
The anal sex scene is downright funny.
Nothing is really shown.. but heavily implied.  There is alot of powerful images in this movie that made it what it is..So I suppose it depends on what type of people (if any) you watch this with.
