You're Forsaken" written

"Feeling Blessed" written on 3-15-04
Feeling blessed for Your love,
toward me, my sinful self.
But I know I can't live without You,
knowing You're with me, not by myself.
Not sad anymore, You make me glad,
Your love that never fails.
While others spend their lives, listening,
to those neverending demonic wails.
Battles of good and evil,
always in their heads.
All they need and want is love,
with You, they'll rest peacefully in their beds.
But just as I did, they keep looking,
searching for something good.
And they don't stop,
just as I would, before.
But Jesus I feel blessed,
that You would give Your life,
the power of it all.
The suffering, Your fall,
I feel blessed, most of all.
I was forgiven and still am,
at the cost of Him forsaken.
Money can't buy that,
or how long it could've taken.
I was forgiven,
and now, there's one thing I must do.
No matter if it's hard, or if I'm persecuted,
I know I must live for You.
I have faith in You, Lord Jesus,
I have trust, neverending.
I pray, continue to break me,
on me, continue bending.
I am forgiven, but He was forsaken,
in 3 days, He rose again.
It was not
US who killed Him,
but plain and simply, our sin.
The least I can do now,
is live for Him alone.
And when I talk to Him,
I do not need a phone.
I am forgiven, He was forsaken,
never to be forgotten.
"Not Just A Feeling" written on 3-17-04
My love for Christ,
not just a feeling or thought.
It's much deeper than that,
my love increases for Him
when I'm downtraught.
Not just a feeling
that comes and goes, but rather,
it is permanent.
But sometimes I get depressed,
lies from the serpent.
Not just a feeling of love,
but of security, comfort and hope.
Whenever I'm caught in a ditch,
the Lord throws me a rope.
He pulls me up and out,
of this soul-threatening place.
And when I worship Him,
I'm farther than outer space.
I wouldn't trade it for anything,
many would for their "image."
But while that image
quickly disappears,
God will be that guiding bridge.
