| Chap 2 Three years. Three damn years! This wasn't fair. Everything she had gone through for the last week to keep this from him and now it was all in vain. The man she loved was sitting next to her in hand cuff, and she could not believe the assholes had handcuffed him. All he did was take her hand when they got out of the car. She looked over at him. He had his head against the wall and his eyes were closed. "Sorry Benj. I don't know what to do." He turned his head and opened his eyes. "Promise no matter what you'll wait for me. Two months baby... just two short months." "I promise. But Benj he'll..." "Lindsay your father is here to get you." A female cop said walking over. She looked over at Benji trying not to let the tears in her eyes show. "He lays one hand on you and I will kill him." Lindsay looked at the door way as her father appeared with a fake smile on his face. "Oh honey I was so worried." She had to admit he sure could play the part when he wanted to. "Wait. I have something I have to do before I go with him." She turned to the officer. "Can I talk to you?" The officer nodded and point to a room. Lindsay looked back down at Benji. "Promise," she whispered before following the officer. "Ok go ahead." "I can't go back with him. Call my doctor. Dr. Callaway, he will tell you. Benji is the love of my life....I don't want him to know....It would kill him." "Did you father do something to you?" "Yes. He...he..." The opened and Joel walked in and slammed the door. The look on his face said it all. "Sir you need to leave." The officer said as Lindsay ran over and hugged him. Joel didn't bother with he officer he just looked Lindsay ini the eyes. "I called your doctor. Why in the hell didn't you tell us?" "I didn't want Benji to know." "I have not told him anything. Spill now and I want the whole story." Lindsay looked up at him. "He has been doing it for a long time. Every since my mom died. He kept tellin me I had to break up with Benj. He had told me that if anyone found out that he would make sure Benji was never seen again. I couldn't do anything Joel. I told him the night before we left that I was going to tell Benji and then we were going to the cops. It is my fault he moved us. All of this is my fault. Now Benji is in big trouble because of me." She looked down and wiped her eyes. The officer got up as Joel hugged her. The cop opened the door and looked out. "Mike read Mr. Long there his rights. I have heard enough. And somebody get those damn cuffs off the kid." As soon as his hands were free Benji got into Mr. Long's face. �What the hell did you do to her?" Mr. Long laughed. "Just showed her how everyone treats little sluts like her." Benji felt a cold chill go down his spine. "Since you�re a stupid punk I will say it flat out. Yeah I did..." He was cut off by the feeling of Benji's fist in his gut. "Benj, let's get Lindsay outta here." Joel said trying to stay calm himself. He turned to face Lindsay who was starring at her feet. "It will be ok baby. Promise." He hugged her then took her hand. |
