Ostron Eye Design
<<< BACK
This eye design uses two photo slide viewers (they can be bought at any photo supply
shop) that are used backward from its intended use. The lens is used to focus the scene in front of it onto a small transluscent screen.
A 2"X 2" PC board is mounted outside the screen onto which are soldered 13 photoresistors facing flat against the screen. 12 of the photoresistors detect changes in light intensity that are brighter than the ambient light in the room or area. A single photoresistor mounted in the center of the board sets the threshold light level and thus acts as an inhibitor.
