To join the mailing list, send an e-mail with an empty body and a blank
subject line to:
netbanditos-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Yahoo! Groups will respond to your request by sending you authentication
instructions. This is a security precaution to keep out the spammers. This is
also why the list of subscribers is only accessible to me.
Once you have verified your subscription request, you can post messages
to everyone on the list by sending an e-mail to:
netbanditos@yahoogroups.com
You may leave the list at any time by sending an e-mail to:
netbanditos-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
If you get into difficulties or if you prefer dealing with a human being,
feel free to contact me.
Messages are archived by Yahoo! Groups. To view the archives, you must log
on to the Yahoo! Groups website using the password you received when you first
joined the list.
Before you attempt to join the Net Banditos mailing list,
please make sure your outgoing mail is being sent in plain
text only. To check, simply carry out the following steps:
- Choose Options... from the Tools
menu.
- Click on the Send tab of the dialog box that
opens.
- Towards the bottom, in the section entitled Mail
Sending Format, make sure the Plain Text option is
switched on.
Any newbie who incontinently squirts HTML all over the list will be
mercilessly flamed by me. Anyone stupid enough to try my patience by
persisting in this manner will be unceremoniously booted off the list
and black-balled for all eternity. Apart from that, we have very few rules.
We tend to be a self-regulating bunch.
