CARL P FARINELLI
30 December 1918 ~ 12 July 1991 Carl P. Farinelli was the son of the late John and Alvera Piscitelli Farinelli. He was retired from Armco Advanced Materials Co, where he worked 30 years. He was a life member of Prospect Volunteer Fire Co, a member of Disabled American Veterans and the Mount Chestnut Senior Citizens Center. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect and had served as an elder and head usher for 10 years. Pap, There is so much to remember. I miss all the trouble we got into. Sunday brunches have never been the same. It was an honor to be greeter at church after you, although my handshake doesn't pack the same punch. I love going to the family reunion, and picking out the peices of your brothers that look like you. I remember how awed I was at the turnout at your viewing. You knew everyone in town (and they still came to pay their respects!). I remember that night, coming home from the amusement park, sitting in the back of the truck with the Stauffer kids who were asleep after a fun filled day. In the quiet I was thinking about you, in all the pain you were in, and how I had refused to let you go. And then I knew, it was okay. I saw my Mom's face when I came home, and I knew. And it was okay. Love you, "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: To announce to multiple people, separate email address with a comma "," |
