Chapter 7

"What did he say?" Cass asked, trying to follow the pissed off Mandie but she was walking way too fast.

"He doesn't believe me! I can't believe he doesn't believe me!" Mandie turned around too quick and ended up whipping her arm around and it smacked Cass in the face, sending her to the floor.

Justin just watched from his dressing room door, wondering if Mandie was right. But it would take a lot of persuasion to get it through that man's head that Britney wasn't such a honest person.

"Oh my god Cass!" Mandie kneeled down, "Cass I'm so sorry!"

"Mandie I'm finethatthat was just shocking," Cass laughed and Mandie helped her up and instantly gave her a hug. "Now what did he say?"

"Well it's not exactly what he said it's what I said."

"What did you say?" Cass slowly looked into Mandie's hazel eyes.

"I told him if he wants to talk to you he better talk nice or else he'd have to answer to me then I told him the truth about Miss Barbie."

"Oh god, now he's going to hate me, he's never going to want to even speak to me again," Cass said still on the ground and Lance finally found them.

"That bastard, why did he hit you?" Mandie asked herself actually, "Why did he have to go and say that and then you go to reply and then he hits you?"

"I don't know, but I don't hate him," Cass replied.

"Are you insane? How can you still talk about him, let alone not hate him?"

"I'm in love with him Mandie," Cass whispered into her ear and Mandie was shocked.

"Why? He's a jack ass."

"I don't know," Cass bit her bottom lip, "I just do."

"Well if you need me I'll be in the green room," with that Mandie stormed away, brushing past Lance. When she was half way there she took out her cell phone, "Maria it's Mandie... you're a loveable agent...do you have anything for me to do today?"

"Nope, not really Mandie," Maria replied.

"Good, then I'll be able to go tonight."

"To what?"

"Lance asked me out."

"Lance Bass? Wow you work fast! I never even knew you met him."

"I met him less than an hour ago. And thanks, I guess I have that special knack," Mandie laughed.

Meanwhile Cass was still sitting on the floor, seeming to be dead to everything. Lance snapped her out of it by saying, "You know Justin is gay, right?"

Cass looked up at Lance with a strange face, "No he's not."

"I knew it'd work!"

Cass laughed, "You jerk."

"Yah... I work wonders."

"Ha, ha, ha " Cass finally got up, "I can't compute all of what Mandie said. It's like blah," she laughed.

"Well she said she would be in the greenroom and I believe Brad went after her," after Lance said this he felt jealous again was this Brad fella trying to win back Mandie?' he thought to himself.

"Okay, well, I need to get ready, I shouldn't be wasting my time worrying about some retard," Cass said loudly because she knew Justin was watching. She got up and started to walk to her dressing room.

Lance walked up to Justin as soon as Cass was far enough away and said, "See? You lost 3 good friends, you bastard."

"3? How did I lose 3?"

"You lost Mandie before you even had her friendship, you lost Cass when you could have had her friendship or even more, and you lost me because you're a bleach blonde."

"Ha, ha, ha " Justin said sarcastically.

"Well I'm gonna go check on Mandie," Lance smiled and walked his way to the green room. On his way there he thought about him and Mandie having a future together... and having kids when he walked to the door he heard silence.

Lance wondered what was going on when he finally heard Mandie yelling, "Don't try that shit on me ever again, Brad! God! I thought I could trust you!" and Lance heard a loud slapping noise.

Oh shit, he thought and came running in the room and what did he see?

Mandie shaking out her now red hand and both her and Brad were laughing.

"What's going on in here?" Lance asked.

"I just knew you were jealous," Mandie laughed, shaking out her hand, "Damn, slapping my own hand hurts!"

"You mean it was an act?"

"Yep."

"My god," Lance shook his head "How'd you know I was out there?"

"Because, Lance Bass, I am psychic," She said in a spooky voice.

"Right."

"Oh I called my agent and I have nothing to do tonight, so yes you may take me out," Mandie smiled.

"Cool" Lance said but inside he was screaming 'ohhhh yeah'.

"But I have to be back before 10 cuz I've got a shoot in the morning and I need sleep."

"Okay, that's fine," Lance replied, jumping in his skin when he saw Mandie smile.

They sat around and talked for a little while, Justin eventually joining them, but no one spoke to him. By the time it was about a half an hour until the show, no one had seen Cass.

"Where's Cass?" Lance asked and Mandie started to worry. They all headed over to Cass's dressing room and knocked on the door. When they didn't get a response, they opened the door to a huge pile of clothes on the floor and a big hole in the wall. Cass's hand was wrapped up in one of the shirts provided for her.
