"Wow I'm getting nervous Mandie."
"No need girl, man, you'll get used to all this hype," Mandie replied, still driving to the middle of Times Square.
"But do you realize it's like, millions of people and I'm still nervous about singing in front of people?"
"Don't sweat it, girly, you know you'll be fine when it's over. Take a risk, see where it got you?"
"Yeah, in a Yellow Camaro with famous model Mandie Monroe and her teddy bear bodyguard."
"Quit dissing Smokey!" Mandie defended him.
"Thank you Mandie," Smokey replied.
"No problem," Mandie replied, "Shit I've been spotted...Smokey they're gathering," Mandie kept driving slower and slower... "Smokey, this has never happened before."
"Well, you're in the middle of New York, what the hell do you expect?" Smokey questioned, "Cass, get down!"
Cass ducked down in the backseat and tried to cover herself up as the car slowed down to almost 5 miles an hour.
"Shit, traffic, I hate this," Mandie yelled frustrated as she saw some officers and saw them gesture to turn left when she got close enough.
The only problem she had was the ecstatic TRL fans.
"Shit Smokey. What am I going to dothere is way too many of them, " Mandie started to cry and stopped the car putting her head on the steering wheel.
"Whatever you do, don't stop driving," Smokey threatened to take the wheel and Mandie's head shot straight back up.
"What's going on up there?" Cass asked from her crouched position.
"Shut up!" Mandie yelled back and tried to look over the mob, who now had their backs to Mandie's car, faced the other direction.
"Who are they looking at?" Smokey asked.
Mandie stood up slightly in her seat and gasped at what she saw, "They're gasping at *NSYNC's limo!"
"Good! Go! Mandie... they are clearing," Smokey yelled.
"Ok I'm going... you ok Cass?"
"Yeah, my neck's a little sore, but I'm fine," Cass said and Mandie started to honk her horn lightly to get the fans out of her way. They moved hesitantly and Mandie finally got through to the place the officers directed her to park.
"So, what's *NSYNC doing here, Smokey?" Mandie asked, suspicious.
"I have no clue. But let's hurry and get up there before we get trampled," Smokey grabbed Cass and threw her over his shoulder and grabbed Mandie's hand pulling her into MTV Studios.
"Hey! I can walk!" Cass started kicking Smokey's back, which Smokey was practically immune to, and started beating her fists on his back as well.
"Whatever girly," he finally put her down and she fell to the ground with a thud.
"That's what you get when you mess with my Smokey," Mandie smiled at Smokey.
"Whatever," Cass got up, brushing off her floods and rubbing her sore bottom, "Let's just get up there and get ready. We've got 1 1/2 hours to get ready and I hate to be late."
"Yah yah.... hey who said I have to be ready I'm not going on with you," Mandie laughed and threw her arm around Cass.
"Well I can always ask if you can."
"No that's not necessary Cass."
"Why not?" Cass asked.
"Because I need my time to be beautiful. You don't need time to be beautiful. You're already beautiful."
"No I am not," Cass was actually a little flattered a model would say that to her.
"I bet your future husband thinks you're beautiful," Mandie smiled again, turning around and sure enough, Justin was walking down the hall, finding out where to meet Sir Elton John.
"Man, there's no chance Justin and me would hook up," she said clearly and Justin stopped, deciding to eavesdrop.
"Oh there would be a slight chance," Mandie turned to Smokey, "Man Smokey! That encounter was awful! Its times like that I wish I wasn't a model."
"I understand that was pretty close... hey wait," He reached a finger under Mandie's eye "Your mascara is running."
"Shoot! That must've been from me crying in the mob situation! Shit, hold on!" Mandie started to run to the nearest mirror. Smokey decided to stay with Cass since Mandie knew more about protecting herself than Cass did.
"Come on girly, time to get you ready," Smokey once again lifted Cass over his shoulder and she didn't kick or scream this time. Her head was facing where she had entered before and her jaw practically dropped when she saw Justin just standing there, staring at the pictures on the wall.
This was her chance to finally talk to him.
"JUSTIN!" she yelled, hoping it would get his attention.
