Cass walked back to where Mandie was standing leaning over the edge tears escaping her now very light hazel eyes. "Mandie don't cry... nothing is going to happen to either of us."
"But what if it could have?" Mandie turned around harshly, starting to yell at Cass, "You could have gotten yourself killed. How could you risk both of our lives like that?"
"I didn't save our lives, thank Buster for that."
"Who's Buster?" Mandie asked, confused.
"My bodyguard, of course."
"When did you get a bodyguard?" Mandie sighed...the tears still falling down her red cheeks, "You didn't have one yesterday."
"Didn't even have one an hour ago, Mandie," Cass smiled, "That's the wonder of finding one on the same flight to Paris."
"You're amazing," she sighed, wiping some tears away, "Don't you just love bodyguards?"
"Not when they speak entirely all French and you have to interpret yourself," Cass laughed, "Of course he did speak English, he's just supposedly going on vacation with his fiance and I just happened to stumble upon him on the flight."
"Really?" Mandie sighed and looked down, "I wish Lance was here," she began to cry and Cass pulled her into a long friendly embrace.
"He will be, I trust in fate," she whispered into her ear as they heard Brad's cries of "Let me the fuck go!" from below.
"You really think he will come?" Mandie asked, pulling away.
"Well, they're not coming, but we're going to meet them, the little dirty brats snuck on my flight as well because they were afraid for my safety."
"Awww," Mandie smiled and le out happy tears and they walked arm and arm down the tower steps, "does Smokey know about this?"
"Yep, as a matter of fact, guess who Smokey is related to?"
"Who?"
"Buster," Cass started to laugh as she finally remembered her broken fingers and their pain, "Ow shit, now I can finally worry about my fingers."
"Oh Cass, you and your damn fingers always ruin everything," Mandie said sarcastically as they finally reached the bottom.
"And guess what else I did today?" Cass commented as they finally caught a taxi.
"What did you do?" Mandie asked as they were crawling in.
"I cried."
Mandie smiled and hugged her, "I'm so proud of you hun."
"I never thought I had it in me," Cass laughed as the reached a hotel... Cass paid the taxi driver and they walked up to the building.
"So, are they in here?" Mandie asked as they were walking towards the doors of the hotel.
"Who knows? Let's try," Cass smiled as they walked in and commented, "Je recherche une reservation pour Fred et Marque Murtz dans la suite d'appartement terrasse. Ils nous ont personnellement demandes de venir," Cass said calmly as the busboy looked at them in shock.
"Uh, oui, mademoiselles, allons-y," he replied and started to walk up the grand steps of the hotel, Mandie and Cass quickly following.
Mandie silently followed behind them daydreaming half of the way up...Cass had saved her life and she had nothing to return to her... except the fact that she decided to deny her Paris job offer.
"Cass, do you really think they're here?" Mandie finally asked as they reached the penthouse suite.
"Like I said, we're going to find out, this is where I heard they like to stay," Cass stated, walking into the suite. She put her bags down and took a deep breath and called out, "GUYS! WE'RE BACK!"
Justin ran out of the bedroom and hugged Mandie "I'm so glad you are ok," they pulled apart and Mandie's smile turned into a frown. When she didn't see Lanceher eyes went straight to the floor.
"Hey girl, don't get discouraged, Lance is in the bedroom," Justin smiled evilly to Cass, "Go get dirty."
"Ha ha," Mandie suddenly perked and ran to the bedroom like a little kid searching for its candy.
"So what's up kid? How'd everything go?" Justin asked, wanting to hug her, but holding himself back because of what she had said on the plane.
"Pretty goodI saved her."
"So what happened?"
"He pulled out a gun and Mandie stepped in front of me pleading for him to kill her... he wouldn't so I did a little acting," she smiled.
"Typical actress," he smiled back down at her, about to burst out in tears. He was in love with her, he fell hard in one day. He didn't know how it became possible, but he had fallen in love with her. He was willing to wait until she felt the same way until he tried a single thing with her.
"Yep," she replied, "I acted like I actually wanted to de-virginate myself and that's when Buster got him. Ya know? Mandie was right, a bodyguard is like a big brother. I love him already," she smiled, glad their lives had been saved by Buster.
