Although we arrived in Paris, we only stayed the first evening in Paris, at my friend Christophe's, before heading out to Genève (Geneva), in Switzerland.

We'd rented a car, and I have to tell you, we happened to be lucky enough to get my absolute favorite little French car, the TWINGO!!! This little car is so cute!!! I'd always wanted one when they first came out while I was living in France in 1994, but I never even got to sit in one. Now, I would have one for the next two weeks!!! We didn't know that we'd actually get a Twingo, but not only did we, but we even got a green one!!! When I saw that at our Roissy, Charles de Gaulle rental lot, I was so stoked! This was foreshadowing that we were about to have a super super trip!!!!! |

Sooo, this was my first time in Switzerland! Unlike France, here I was on completely new ground. So our first step in Geneva, was to gain our bearings. So we found the cafe of the train station, and Dani updated or Guide Michelin information, while I scoured the local newspaper. I would suggest not being in Europe without such a guide. The Fodor's guide was also useful. |
