 *Info*
EVERYTHING FOUND IN THIS WALKTHROUGH IS BASED ON THE NORMAL MODE OF NEOQUEST II.

In battle, the S1, S3, and S5 stand for doing nothing for those number of seconds.

Don't be afraid to die early in the game. The only consequence is a lose of half your gold, but here you don't need it and don't have enough of it to care. But on InSaNe mode, you lose EVERYTHING and restart the game from scratch.

Eventully you will start to fight more than one monster at a time and the benefit of this is more exp than usual.

I recommend healing outside of battle, so you don't waste any turns with healing and can attack the enemy without fear. That is, until you get Velm. But don't wait to be out of battle if your health is dangerously low.

All random monsters drop healing potions and gold, although not always after every fight. They never drop slowing potions, haste potions, damage potions or any other type! These can only be bought at towns and villages. Bosses can drop healing potions, gold, neopoints and equipment.

When the recommended level is given, thats the level you should be before moving onto the next area. It may be a hard level to get to but it helps greatly to be as high as you can at any point of the game.

its usually a good idea to fight a boss right after you level, so if you lose against the boss, you won't lose all of your hard earned Exp.

You should always travel around in Hunting mode to get as much experience as you can. Leveling up and spending your skill points is important to beat the game. Normal mode is for someone low in health, or backtracking and want to be fast.

Although the damage potion's say how much damage they inflict, its not always garentied thats how much they do. Sometimes the damage potion will only do half of the damage its meant to do, if it does it at all. Slow potion's aren't always effective as the monster/boss can resist them. Same goes with attack magic.

 Walkthrough Chapter One

 *Trestin*
NPC's
Mother (Inn Keeper, free)
Tolain
Jimba
Prongoras (Potion Trader)
Marvis

When you start, you're standing next to your mother. Go left out of the town, Trestin, onto the plains, but stay close.

 *Western Plains*
Monsters
Plains Lupe - HP: 10
Plains Aisha - HP: 15
Forest Bearog - HP: 15

Put the mode onto Hunting and wander around two or three blocks away from Trestin to fight Plains Lupe. If your health becomes low, go back to Trestin from the left side of it (Fastest way to your mother) and talk to your mother, asking her to stay the night. You'll be healed without charge. When you level up, all health is repenished. Don't buy any Healing Vail's from Pongoras as you receive them occasionally from battles and you will need your gold.

Keep fighting until level 2. Now you can venture into the nearby hills for stronger monsters, but keep an eye on your health bar. Use a Healing Vail if you really need too, but try to visit your Mother if you're low on health.
When you're at level 4, you should now go north-west, around the mountains to the Western Plains and then go straight north to the Golden Forest and into;

 *Dark Cave*
Monsters
Cave Lupe - Hp: 20
Cave Spyder - HP: 20

Recommended level = 5

South/Down is the way to go. When you get far enough, they'll be a fork but it doesn't matter which one you take, they go the same way, so just choose one and truge on, slaughtering those Lupe's and Spyder's as you go for more experience, gold and vail's. You should really work on getting to level 5 here. Keep going along the track north to north-east staying on hunting mode.
The tunnel turns into a single line path and then eventully spreads out into a fork with a train track and the Dark Cave becomes;

 *An Abandoned Gold Mine*
Monsters
Miner Skeleton - HP: 25
Miner Ghost - HP: 25
Miner Foreman (Boss) - HP: 50

Recommended level = 7

Take the left fork and go straight south/down. The floor will turn grey, just Keep following the train track.
Furthur along the track, it turns into a circle. Follow it downwards and you'll see a figure. He's the Miner Foreman and demands that you fight him.
After the battle, the Orb takes you outside the Mine and back to Golden Forest.

From here, go directly east. When you start crossing a thin strip of grass, you'll enter:

 *Northern Marches*
Monsters
Woodland Bearog - HP: 30
Shadow Gelert - HP: 25

Recommended level = 8

You should start heading towards White River so go south-east from here. If you reach the edge of the water, start traveling east until you see a town on a small strip of land.

 *White River*

Jeltharo
Tebor (Potion, Weapon Trader. When the bridge is down, gives a 20% discount)
Bolar
Horxas (Inn Keeper, 35 gold. 25 when the bridge is down.)
Yauvis
Adelan

In almost every town you can buy new armour and weapons, so do so. Rohane is dressed differently when you equip different items. If you stay at this Inn you will be transported here if you die instead of all the way back to Trestin. I recommend that you buy 5 blast potions. After talking to Adelan you'll discover that you can't get through White River because a Wizard (Zombom) jinxed the bridge into floating so no one could cross. You will find that Zombom has taken refuge in an old, ruined tower. To get inside you have to go into an underwater cave that runs under the mountains and comes up again on the island.

Go back to the Marches and go north-east through the forest and there will be a path of tree's with mountain's either side called Mountain Path. Follow it to the;

East is where it lies. So east is where you shall go! To find Ramtor, who's overthrown the King and taken power over Neopia.

You say, "How do I enter the city?"
Potraddo says, "The entrance to the city is blocked, but it can be opened by means of a magical passphrase." He pauses for a moment. "The phrase is, 'ad ro un ta en.' Speak this phrase to the city's guardian, and you will be granted entrance."

You have to talk to the Hermit to know the password so don't skip it. Afterwards, buy armour and weapons and leave Lakeside. Go back the way you came, through the forest and around the moutains to find yourself in;

Strange that, when his picture is holding a lovely axe. He's the guard on the left before you go into Ramtor's room.
This battle isn't hard. When you take 100 off he runs away. Now you must find the King.

Captain Jologa says, "Ramtor had him taken to an old tower that overlooks the sea to the west. It's at the tip of the peninsula, beyond the Treacherous Forest, on the Plain of Retreat."
