Pokemon Card 2: Great Rocket Visit
I started translating this Gameboy game back in August 2001. After converting the text tiles into English and discovering the table, this project appeared to be under way. At that point, I felt to make the translation project a success, I would need to find a key ROM hacking tool: the pointer table. After a few days of failing to find it, I became discouraged and gave up. It wasn't until April 13, 2002 that I looked into finding the table again. With a little more patience, I found the table and cracked its code. As a result, this project is now in full swing.

This is the latest version as of January 02, 2002 at 4:56 PST. The ROM corruption is now gone (found IPS patcher that cooperates). However, some bugs still remain (i.e. text appearing where it should, using one card but it says to do stuff to another when it really means that card, etc. minor stuff). Unfortunately, I do not believe I will fix those remaining bugs as Jazz is still very active on his project. Therefore, this project by me is now on hiatus until further notice. So, if you want updates, go to 1 l33t h4x0rz.
95% of this patch is possible because of the work by
Jazz at 1 l33t h4x0rz. I say this because it is really his/their hack. However, in order to not be accused of stealing work or ripping off of other people, I come out and say it--this patch is mostly of Jazz's work and NOT MY OWN.
Now, time to explain what I have done. Basically, all I have done is made the cards in this game, readable in English. That is it. This was possible by Alamedyang and his work at translating the cards on his OWN time. (to stress that his truly did this on his own--I never enlisted him as I used the FAQ provided from GameFAQs).
One more thing, until future notice--go to 1 l33t h4x0rz for
progress of this patch (this patch did come from him--I'm only a contributor with hopes of joining that project). Therefore, if there is a bug or anything that has nothing to do with the cards, bug him and not me. Only bug me if you want to help me translate this game independently of Jazz's project or bug found in the cards.
One last thing, I do not intend in using this patch as part of my own project. However, if I manage to make progress in this game (i.e. translate more of it), proper credit will still be given to the work that I did not do as I have done here. I am not the type of person who steals other peoples work and call it my own.
