Reflection on Scientific Revolution Internal/External Phenomenon
The background of this assignment was to write about your chosen topic concerning the Scientific Revolution in Europe of the 1600s. To complete this assignment, I had to create my thesis statement expressing my views on the topic and my opinion as to which one seems most valid; from here, I had to go though my European History book to find information relevant to my topic and supporting my opinion.
From writing this essay, I learned of the various discoveries made in science by thinkers such as Copernicus, Kepler, and Newton; in addition, I found out the views of the clergy and the common people toward these new ideas. What I liked about this assignment was that the topic was not complex to write about and was a section I personally enjoyed learning about. I would change this essay topic to include a section on the historians’ view of the Scientific Revolution because I am curious as to what they think. This proves my mastery of the ESLR because the essay was written using proper English, was checked over multiple times until I thought it was flawless, and without going off topic, thus proving I can write appropriately. This also proves I can use technology to produce and manipulate information as I had to type and make corrections to this essay using the computer.
