Introduction to ESLR's Section
ESLR – an acronym meaning “Expected School-wide Learning Results.” Students are expected to be Self-Directed Learners who use skills and knowledge to work toward achievement of personal, education, and career goals; maintain mental, physical, and social wellness; and act responsibly, honestly, and ethically. They are to Culturally Empowered Community Members who contribute to and model democratic values through awareness, participation, and service; promote understanding to self, others, and the environment; and demonstrate knowledge of a global perspective and cultural diversity.
Effective Communicators are students who listen, speak, read, and write appropriately; use symbols and relations to clarify mathematical concepts; use technology to access, manipulate and produce information; and use and respond to creative and artistic expression. Productive Individuals are those who use critical thinking to solve problems and make decisions; identify, plan, and use resources effectively to produce quality work; participate independently as well as in a group to complete tasks. In this section, works done throughout the year are provided to exemplify my mastery of each of these ESLRs.
