Pokémon: Legends - Story
Here's the complete story archives from Pokémon: Legends. BTW, if you
all don't know it already, P:L is dead. If anyone wants to revive it, let me
know and I'll see what I can do about our old cast of characters. (PS - I may do
it myself.)

Chapter 1 - And So It Begins
OK, so we all started off in Petalburg with a nice, normal Pokémon adventure
that Prof. Oak would be proud of. Ash manages to snag a Badge from Roxanne
before he gets sidetracked by a crook from Team Magma. Said crook, Kale, is a
harsh Fire-type trainer with a few legendaries up his sleeve, but he seems to
have a soft spot for May. Anyway, the gang chases Kale (with a Jenny by their
side) to Dewford Town, and from there (after an island adventure), they pursue
him to Sootopolis City and the Cave of Origin. He snags Groudon, and soon truly
makes some friends. Around this time we are also introduced to Crystal, a former
Magma member with a good heart and a true Trainer's soul... or is she? Could
there be more than meets the eye? A big adventure has just ended, with the Aqua
base now still smoldering from the explosion Kale triggered. Now the vice-Magma
Leader, Kale is on vacation and hanging with Ash and friends (while all the
while perfecting his Fire Pokémon communication skills) as they backtrack for
some needed badges.
---
Chapter 2 - Gym Tour
Last time I wrote one of these, Kale had just blown up the Team Aqua base, and
we readers had recently found out that Crystal was a Mew (though our poor
characters, except Kale, have no idea). Soon after, Kale becomes a Trainer and
backtracks for a Badge from Roxanne. While Todd and Crystal nab some Pokémon
and Matt wipes the floor with Roxanne, Kale and May rescue Kale’s little
sister from a volcanic pass, and at the same time, Kale catches some more Pokémon
of his own. Upon returning, all 8 trainers in attendance nabbed a Knuckle Badge
from Brawly. Then the gang headed for Mauville City, home of Todd’s
grandfather, Wattson - the Gym Leader. Though Hiro went strangely missing, the
others continued on to win a Dynamobadge. Outside the Gym, Team Rocket’s
newest member, Hiro, dug a pitfall trap, while Crystal defended two batches of
Pokémon eggs, one of which Crystal received. (That Egg hatched soon after into
a Charmander.) However, the gang missed the pitfall trap entirely, and moved on
towards the Cable Car to Flannery’s Gym in Lavaridge City. But, as fate would
have it, Butch and Cassidy of Team Rocket were the Cable Car’s operators, and
they decided to aid their Boss by dumping Ash and friends into the sea. As a
Mew, Crystal saved the gang, but both May and Kale were missing when the group
awoke. So, Ash and friends came to enlist the help of an old friend...

Chapter 3 - Tying Up Loose Ends… And Making More
After May and Kale got lost on Mirage Island, Misty joined the party, and they
headed for Mirage Island. Meanwhile, May joined Magma, and then Kale took her
over to Mirage Island to join the gang. When they arrived, Crystal got in a
debate with Kale over his Magma recruiting tactics, but Kale shrugged it off. The
next morning, Kale and May had been on Moltres, when Kale had to abort the
landing - he was under attack by none other than Lawrence III, also known as The
Collector. (He's the bad guy from Pokémon 2000.) While Kale and the others
didn't know this, Team Rocket did, and shot Meowth out of a cannon to tell the
twerps. Thereafter, the gang - TR included - headed up to save Kale in Meowth
balloons, but they were shot down by Dragonite. Upon landing, Ash sent Pikachu
to Kale's aid, in addition to Crystal, and then shot himself up. Inside, Kale
got caged, and things looked bleak for our heroes. Lawrence managed to catch
Crystal in a Master Ball, but Kale broke out of his cage and saved the rest of
his Pokémon from capture. Then he battled Lawrence in the sky, and claimed all
of his Pokémon. (Which reminds me, I need to put those on the char list...) Ash
did the honors of capturing Lawrence and taking him to the cops, and found
himself the owner of the Airship. Melody, who helped Ash save the world again,
joined up with the gang after that.
After that, Ash took the gang to get some badges, and eventually made it to
Lavaridge Town. Crystal and Kale battled Flannery first, and managed to actually
leave her in bad shape. While she went to the Pokémon Center, with an injured
Crystal close behind, Kale trained in the empty Gym... and managed to start
melting the sides! Todd located Blaine in a closet, and got him out. (Not to
mention, he got a Squirtle as a reward.) It turned out that Blaine had come to
visit Kale, his grandson, who was still having trouble in the Gym. The combined
efforts of the gang fixed it and made it normal, though Flannery was still out
cold. Unfortunately, Crystal showed her true Team Rocket colors and captured the
gang in a pitfall trap, and proceeded to capture Jirachi, Pikachu, Forretress,
and Misty in Poké Balls. That angered Ash, who turned into a fireball and took
out Crystal, and saved the Pokémon and Misty. While Ash and Misty dealt with
Crystal, Kale was running from the Jennys... but failed to escape. So, rather
than be captured, he jumped 500 feet to his certain doom...
Or was it? The Jennys went to tell Ash and friends, who cried for a time, while
Kale woke up to find that he had total amnesia - he didn't know his own name,
much less the names of his friends. Not having any reason to delay, he headed
for Petalburg City, where he found out that he was an outlaw, and beat up Norman
for a Badge and forgetting that Kale had ever been there. Of course, Ash and the
gang had decided to come to Petalburg anyway, and May found out that Kale had
been there. Eventually, they found him, but he still hadn't found his memory,
aside from his own name, which he had been told by Norman's other son, Brendan.
So, they decided to battle with him to restore his memory... which actually
worked well. When he remembered he was a Magma member, he ran off after the last
battle. He managed to get caught in an Aqua ambush, but easily fought them off
and saved his cousin from having to take orders from a loser. He then had to
save May from being smashed by the Aqua machine, and fully got his memory back.
After that, he made a decision to leave the crew for a while, to get Badges and
visit his family. In less than a day, he got his last three Badges, and headed
to Cinnibar Island... to find it under attack by Team Magma! He teams up with
his sister Jade to fend them off, while Melody gets herself a rival.
Now, the gang has just helped Norman keep his job as the Leader of the Petalburg
Gym by taking out Team Plasma, a new evil in Hoenn... and the gang actually
killed two of its members. They retreated, and Norman was grateful enough to
give them all a Badge.
---
Chapter 4 - Death by Plasma
OK, when I last condensed the RP into a few short sentences, Ash and friends had
just saved the Petalburg Gym from destruction by Team Plasma. Following that,
Brock and Misty went home to their Gyms. Brock found only his youngest sister,
and Misty was left with only Daisy. The gang flew up to the Plasma base, and
soon found the Gym Leaders... hypnotized! Misty and May joined them for a short
while, until Crystal pulled the plug on the Drowzee that did all the work.
Unfortunately, while that was happening, Brock got suckered into joining Plasma
by some of its female members. As Crystal tried to "fix" him, it
backfired, and sucked out his soul, essentially killing the former Leader. Ash
and crew headed back to Earth, and landed in Fortree City for more Badges, while
Kale and Brock crash-landed at a mansion belonging to Molly (Pokémon 3). Molly
joined up with Ash and friends to free Crystal from the mind control of the evil
Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket, and... that's the story so far.
---
Chapter 5 - Friend or Foe?
While the gang was resting in Fortree City, Misty lets slip her adoration for
Water Pokémon, and claims that Water beats Fire any day of the week. Kale gets
mad at this, and the two sparred in the Cerulean Gym. After some heated battling
(which brought a chill over the field), Melody stepped in and played her flute
to make it all stop. Once Team Plasma was dealt with by Brad, the group boarded
the Grand Airship II and headed for Mossdeep. During the ride, Max and Melody
had a little trivia contest about the Leaders of the Mossdeep Gym, Tate and
Liza. Again Melody played her flute, this time adding the side effect of making
everyone on the craft – herself included – fall asleep. En route to the
Mossdeep Gym, Ash has a flashback to his last battle against a Psychic Leader
– it didn’t go well. Then, the group went in…
---
Chapter 6 - Pokémon: Heroes
Everyone went into the Gym, and met Tate and Liza, the Gym Leader twins. After
some fierce Double Battles, and more than a few windows shattering, everyone
walked out with a Badge and a smile on his or her face. Ash then lifted off
towards the final Gym in Sootopolis City, which was an uneventful trip, until
Team Rocket attacked during the trip. They flew into the sunset, and the gang
moved on to the domain of Wallace, the Water Leader, and the last Gym Leader.
Before that happened, Kale broke from the group and went on ahead, while the
others were doing assorted tasks all over the map. Kale saved Hiro from a Rocket
attack, and the others got to Sootopolis. They all beat up Trainers for a Badge,
but Ash barely made it, being sealed in a block of ice. After that was done, Ash
and the others landed at the Pokémon League, Hiro and Kale already being most
of the way up. Hiro lost to Drake, but Kale made it all the way up to Steven.
And so his final battle was about to begin...
---
Chapter 7 - Time Capsule (or: Pokémon, I Choose You!)
After laying waste to Steven, Kale became a Champion of the Hoenn League.
Entering the Hall of Fame alone, he was ambushed by Team Dark, who shoved him
into a Time Portal which had its other end in the day that Ash was to begin his
Pokémon journey. Soon after, Ash and Misty got to Steven and beat him in a
Double Battle to become Champions... and then fell into the same trap as Kale.
Everyone but Ash was sent back to their home, but Ash fell face-first onto the
soil of Pallet Town, on the day he began his journey. After explaining the
situation to Oak, Ash and Kale moved to leave and start again, but Team Dark
attacked. Gary, Oak, and Delia came and helped, and after they won, the three
earned a permanent place in Ash's party.
---
Chapter 8 - Everything Old is New Again
After that battle, Dark became a character, and the earth was plagued by evil
once more. (Just kidding!) Also, Amber became Shadow's sidekick of sorts. The
two make way to Viridian City, meet May there, and wait a while for Ash and Kale
to make their way into town. However, they don't stop in Viridian, and instead
blaze a trail directly to Pewter City. There they get Badges from Brock. Crystal
follows them in and gets a Badge, then explains to Brock that he's nothing but a
shell in the future. May battles Brock for a Badge, then the doors of the Gym
flew open to reveal Oak, Delia, and Gary, all three of whom got a Badge from
Brock. Meanwhile, Shadow and Ken battled each other in a deathmatch sponsored by
Giovanni, which led to the eventual stealing of a large number of Earth Badges,
which were handed out to Ash and friends. With the whole gang having a Badge
each, Brock rejoined them and the gang set out for Mt. Moon...
---
Chapter 9 - The Wrath of Team Rocket
...But they didn't get that far. A Rocket ambushed the gang and used a
combination of mind control and surprise attacks to weaken the gang, then took
control of Lance's Dragonite, which was around. He used it to blast the gang,
then when it was released from his control, it turned and blasted Josh. However,
a few hours later, Josh was commanded in his sleep to meet at the secret Rocket
Base inside Mt. Moon. At about that time, Ash and Crystal were ambushed by
Giovanni. They defeated him, and wiped the minds of both the Giovannis of past
and present. Then Kale split from the group and headed for Nugget Bridge, where
Archie happened to be. After a harrowing battle against 17 Aqua Grunts, during
which Crystal got defeated, Kale took on Archie himself, won by a HUGE margin,
and then left Archie in the middle of the ocean to drown. Meanwhile, Josh formed
a formal Team Dark, in the absence of the true Bosses. All the others were off
doing their own thing, but they'll gather in Cerulean soon enough to battle
Misty for a full load of Badges...
---
Chapter 10: Darkness Falls
At the start of this segment, Liza befriends an Eevee (no Ball, no catch). Soon
after, the gang is ambushed by an Admin from each member Team of Team Dark, but
they are soon dispatched... and then another wave appears! That wave is also
tossed aside, as Ken falls from the sky and receives emergency healing from
Crystal, who changes and flies away, only to have some Trainer on a Dragonite
try to catch her. She was defeated royally, and the Trainer saved her... she
then realized that it was Lance, the Champion of Kanto. They headed to the Pokémon
Center in Cerulean to help out Ash, who had been critically hit in the battle...
---
Chapter 11: To Infinity... and the Future?
The next morning, the gang awoke to find the town on fire, and a single Trainer
commanding her Charmeleon to burn the city down. This Trainer was a member of
the Infinites, a dangerous group of Trainers who had nearly limitless power. The
I-Trainer, Ella, attacked them, and was barely held at bay by the three
Trainers. After the battle, the two teleported to the future, only to find
Cerulean burning again, and Ella still the cause. They dispatched her once more,
then warped back... or so they thought. They ended up back in Littleroot Town,
where Crystal met up with an odd girl that was living in the forest. Ash and
Crystal went back to the past...
---
Chapter 12: Adventures in Plasma
Ash, Crystal, and the odd girl (Liza) all landed on top of Kale, who had been
looking for them anyway. Crystal taught Liza some English, and they moved back
into Cerulean, meeting up with Brock on the way. They arrived at the Gym, but
the party was zapped by Plasma, and taken away to the Base, where Plasma had an
unspeakable evil plot in action. (Read it yourself. )
After getting out of the trap, Crystal explained that Brock had been captured,
and the whole group ended up under Plasma mind control yet again. With only one
option left, Ash summoned Gary to the base, and he freed all the prisoners. They
went back to Earth, and upon reaching the city, they met up with the others
again. But they didn't get far before they were attacked by a mystery Trainer,
who happened to be Leader Sabrina. They agreed to take her back to Saffron, and
then headed for the Gym...
---
Chapter 13: A Whole New World [Link to Borto: Chapter 1]
Ash owns Misty, who ends up giving Badges to everyone just for being
there. Then they set out for Vermillion, using Sabrina's psychic powers.
They arrived in a park, where Kale was... and also where Team Rocket makes a
landing, claiming that they were just blown over here by a girl who looked like
Ash. They fled, leaving Ash to ponder the possibilities of a girl who
looked just like him...
---
Chapter 14: Pokémon: Champions
As Josh buys some supplies with his Team Rocket discount, Ash and friends
head into the Vermillion Gym to get a set of Thunder Badges, Ash still pondering
Team Rocket's revelation from earlier. Meanwhile, Ashley appeared outside
the Pokémon Center, drained from the warp, and promptly collapsed. Amber
found her and took her to the Pokémon Center. When she woke up again,
Amber put two and two together and took her to Ash.
---
Chapter 15: A Tale of Two Trainers
Ash and Ashley realized that they were related the moment they saw each
other. The others needed Ashley's say-so to get the idea. Once that
was done, Ashley called Maple to confirm, but got hung up on (again). That
night, the pair and Delia went over the story, while the others pondered the
situation. The next morning, the duo worked together to roast Gary's
Arcanine and Pidgeot and kill his confidence... and his quickly swelling ego.
---
Chapter 16: The Fall of Ash
Crystal transported the gang to Celadon, where they stayed the night, then
went shopping. As they exited the Department Store, a sniper on the roof
of the Celadon Mansion opened fire - and hit Ash in the head. The sniper
turned out to be none other than Ashley's dad. Of course, the ripple
effect of this was that Ash was no longer going to be the Champion of anything,
the savior of any lands, anything at all. And most importantly, it
meant that Kale was going to have a heck of a time getting home. To put it
lightly, things weren't going well.
---
Chapter 17: Latent Memory
The next day, to keep her spirits up, Ashley headed for the Celadon Gym. As
her battle with Erika begins, her new special Ability activates, and her soul
merges with that of her brother. The new Supertrainer then attacked the
poor Leader with impossible skill and speed. Two attacks later, Ashley had
her Rainbow Badge, and was moving on to Cycling Road. After a long bike ride in
which Ashley's father Rick joins the party, the gang stays the night in Fuschia.
Ashley and Kale have nightmares, but are consoled by Crystal and Gary. (Wait...
did I just say Gary?)

Chapter 1: And So It Begins [Link to Ash: Chapter 13]
We now zoom over to the land of Borto, where new Trainer Ashley (I'm not
going to reveal the last name until later on) is late for her appointment with
Professor Maple of Birth Town, which Ashley lives on the outskirts of, with her
dad. She gets a Pikachu from Maple, then sets out for Serenity Town, but
gets ambushed by Jessie, James, and Meowth along the way. Maple arrives to
save Ashley, who then proceeds to Serenity Town, for a well-earned rest...
---
Chapter 2: Pokémon: Champions
Heading for Dawn City, where the first Gym was, Ashley finds a Jigglypuff -
the same one that's been plaguing Ash's party for a LONG time - and it gets
caught once it starts singing. When she wakes up, Ashley goes the rest of
the way to Dawn City, and heads into the Pokémon Center for another nap...
---
Chapter 3: Soul of Darkness, and Other Odd Things
Ashley challenged Dawn's
Gym Leader, Eric, to a match. Unfortunately, Eric happened to be a Shadow
Trainer, and Ashley nearly got herself impaled, but Maple arrived to save the
day. Ashley beat Eric with Maple's support, and got a Wing Badge.
Then Maple suggested that Ashley visit the fortune teller on the edge of town,
who she had just left some information with: Ashley had a brother named Ash
Ketchum. Maple gave her a EXPNCard for her PokéGear, and Ashley warped to
Kanto.

Story: Will and Obby's team

Chapter 1: Rocket Science [Link to Ash: Chapter 14]
Shortly after the dawn
of the third archive of Ash's Pokémon adventure, we are introduced to Obby, a
Rocket. He uses his Fire Pokémon to pwn all comers, including a Biker he
meets early on in his adventure. He takes their Pokémon, then sets out
for Viridian. On the way he takes down Jessie, James, and Meowth like a
machete takes down dental floss. Upon arriving, he gives the Biker's
Pokémon to Giovanni as a gift, then gets his orders: He's to head for Celadon's
Game Corner and get some supplies. He trades in his own 300 Coins for an
Eevee, grabs the stuff, and heads for Silph. He's ambushed by another
Biker, who is promptly defeated. He gives the materials to Giovanni, who
gives him Silph's Master Ball in return, then sends him to Cinnibar for two
Ditto...
---
Chapter 2: The Great Escape
Obby nabs the pair of Ditto, and
and an Absol for himself, and returns to Silph 13F, where one of the Ditto is
used to make a copy of Silph's president, as the real one is taken in a Rocket
helicopter. Minutes later Mr. Goodshow, the chairman of the Indigo League,
is also taken hostage and replaced. Both are locked up below the Viridian Gym,
and Operation Take Over is ready to begin...
---
Chapter 3: The Manito Files
Here
we meet Will, another member of Team Rocket who once trained under Obby.
Now he's headed for Viridian... but he has a score to settle first. He
takes out the boy who'd been bullying him for some time now, then boards the
ferry to Viridian. That night, the ferry is attacked by Team Aqua, but
Will makes short work of them, with the help of a girl that the Aqua Grunts were
attacking. They evacuate the ferry on the last lifeboat. Meanwhile,
Obby is off to Fuchsia to stop its Governor from running for President of
Kanto. Upon reaching Vermillion in the lifeboat, Will heads through
Diglett's Cave, catching one in the process, as Obby caught a Sharpedo en route
to Fuchsia...
---
Chapter 4: Giovanni for President
Obby ended up getting
just a bit lost on the way to Fuchsia, and collapsed in a forest near the Safari
Zone. After someone took him to a resting place where he woke up, he went the rest of the way, and took care of business. The
next task for him was to go undercover in the Kanto Police Force, to frame all
the other candidates of some horrible crime. While on this mission, Obby
and Will run into each other outside of Viridian, just after Giovanni's election
as President...
---
Chapter 5: If Anyone Asks, I'm Not Here
Following
Obby's successful mission, he was cast out of the city, and ran into a Bug
Catcher in Viridian Forest, who was quickly defeated. Later, the same Bug
Catcher wanted revenge, but first Obby needed directions back to Viridian, which
he got. Inside the police station, he saw a wanted poster... HIS wanted
poster! He fled all the way back to Diglett's Cave, then ran inside. He
tripped on Will, who had had his Diglett dig a hole to escape from jail.
They ran the rest of the way together again. In Vermillion, they boarded a ferry
to Five Island...
---
Chapter 6: Master and Commander
Upon reaching Five
Island, the pair is captured and taken to the mansion of the Master, the one who
had created the Giovanni android that had attended the presidential
election. He took Will hostage, and appointed Obby as his right-hand
man. First order of business: Find Will, who had broken out that
night. Obby chased him through a tunnel, but Will took a right turn at a
junction, and ended up on an island, safe for now. Obby made a left at
that same junction, but then caught himself and went the other way, just in
time. Will found a hiding place just in time. But he got found out
anyways, and took off through a forest, Obby right behind him. Will took
out Obby's Pokémon that were trailing him, and kept on running. They soon
met up in the forest, and began to talk about the old days. They hatched a
master plan, and the next day, Will was to be executed... but someone had cut
off the power to the electric chair. Obby suggested that Will be hung
instead, and the Master agreed. But Obby got Will off the hook, and they
fled once again...
---
Chapter 7: All Washed Up
The two found one of the
Master's servants, with an injured leg, and took her with them on their
escape. They got caught in a storm, and landed on a nearby island.
They found a small cave to sleep in for the night... but then it iced
over. The cause: Suicune. The storm outside stopped, and the three
went on to Cianwood City in Johto. They trained under Chuck, and beat up
all comers. But then a very rare medicine was stolen from the city, and
with it Obby's boat. Will dragged a furious Obby back to the Pokémon
Center to sleep...
---
Chapter 8: Soul of Steel, Heart of Gold
After
getting the medicine back, the pair headed to Olivine City to deliver it to
Jasmine. At the top of the lighthouse, she used it to heal the Ampharos
that was the light itself. Then they returned to the Gym and battled
Jasmine, even though they wouldn't get Badges. Obby won narrowly, and
Will's Paras evolved to a Parasect, seizing the day. After getting TMs,
they headed back to Cianwood, and were challenged by the two that had battled
them before. After they both lost again, the pair headed to the Gym
again... and found Chuck tied up. He said the Master had come for a
visit...
---
Chapter 9: Will and Obby, A lot - The Master, 0
The duo fled
to Dewford Town, where Obby had family. But in his grandfather's house, he
found the Master. They took the pair hostage, and Crystal discovered an
announcement of the friends' public execution! At the last second, she
removed the two from harm's way. But on the way to New Bark Town, they
were intercepted by a Rocket who was bent on blocking their path. After
Will took a hit from a Blaze Kick, the police arrived and broke the thing
up. Then, upon reaching New Bark Town, the Rockets attacked again.
Jenny left the pair with three additional Trainers, and they wiped out the
Rockets quickly and effectively. The two then returned to Cherrygrove to
stay the night...
