GETTING TO KNOW JESUS THE MESSIAH
PAGE 1                                                            A Summary of the Gospel

Before coming to faith in Christ, you must first know what it is you are believing.  By reading the very words of God, you can be introduced to the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus.  You will read a brief summary about Jesus and his purpose with mankind.  You not only need to believe what the Bible says about Him but you will need to face the facts about the reality that sin is what separates man from God.  Only through the true Jesus of the Bible can anyone find forgiveness of sins by repenting and trusting in Christ alone.  Man falls short of the glory of God and must face the fact that he is a transgressor of God's commandments.  When we challenge ourselves against the Law of God, we have a need to humble ourselves and run to the cross of Christ for salvation.  Without His loving death and the shedding of His blood, no one, not one, will escape the judgment of the Holy God who requires absolute righteouness.  This righteousness can be only be found in Christ who died in our place receiving the penalty of our sin on the cross.  Please read on to discover the only Source of life:

Romans 10:17  So then
faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  John 5:24,28,29 Verily, verily, I [Jesus] say unto you, he that hears My word, and believes on Him who sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but has passed from death into life...Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the grave shall hear His voice and shall come forth; they that have done good, to the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.   Ephesians 1:13  In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. which is the earnest (guarantee) of our inheritance until the day of redemption of the purchased possesion, to the praise of His glory.  Psalm 119:105,130 Your word is lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path...The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding unto the simple.

Isaiah 7:14: Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign:  Behold, a
virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:20-23 ...Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying,  Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take to you Mary your wife: for that which is
conceived by her is of the Holy Spirit.  Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is: God with us.

Isaiah 9:6-7:  For unto us a Child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase o
f His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Luke 1:31-35:  And behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call His name
JESUS.  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give to Him the throne of His father David: and He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.  Then sid Mary to the angel, How shall this be, seeing that I know not a man?  And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called Son of God.

Acts 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
no other name under the heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Luke 2:10-12:  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is
Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign to you;  You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Luke: 2:26-32: And it was revealed to [Simeon] by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.  And he came by the Holy Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now let your servant depart in peace, according to your word:  For mine eyes have seen your
salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.

John 1:1-5, 10-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All the things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.  In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not...He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.  He came to His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many received Him, to them gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:29-30: The next day John saw Jesus coming to Him, and said, Behold the
Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.  This is He of whom I said, After me comes a Man which is preferred before me:  FOR HE WAS BEFORE ME.

Matthew 3:13-17: Then Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to John, to be baptized of him.  But John forbad Him, saying, I have need to be baptized of you, and you come to me?  And Jesus answering said to him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness.  Then he suffered him.  And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the
Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lightning upon Him.  And lo a voice from heaven, saying This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Luke 4:17-21: And there was delivered to Him the book of the prophet Isaiah.  And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written,
'The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.'  And He closed the book, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down.  And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him.  And He began to say to them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

John 3,16-21:  Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a man be
born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of God...For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosover believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.  He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  And this is condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Luke 5:32; 13:3 I came not to call the righteous
, but sinners to REPENTANCE...I tell you, Nay, but, except you REPENT, you shall all likewise perish.
