Uncommon Beauty - 04/01/01

Tell me pretty one, are we not uncommon?
Or shall we cast our chance upon a sea of discontent...
So that one day when we're gone, our souls will just lament?
Looking back at times of old when things were surely better...
Will you shed a tear - for some unwritten letter?
Or would you purse your lips determined, with mouth so well defined
And utter not a word remorse about this latest find:
The verse you see in front of you is not like those before.
Hidden just between the lines a key to something more.
The night of last, you were with me and what was that I saw?
A compromised conviction? A breaking of your law?
A glimmer in your downcast eye? A sparkle in your smile?
A twitching of your hidden wings which have not seen light a while?
You posses the energy of one so strong and true.
You command an elegance with everything you do.
Your heart of gold is plain to see for one such as I.
But that which motivates your mind somehow evades my sight...
I will reveal the shine I see, in words not far and few...
All these things and so much more are held inside of you...
Do let them out and share your thoughts, and feelings that you know.
And from this day and forward, your happiness will grow.
Because you see something is shared - when words are spoken true.
Uncommon beauty, yours and mine - will show it's color too.
