Transformation - 06.27.2001

You flighty creature, concubine of the night.
Perched precariously on shiny black heels,
You make love with darkest delight.
You came to my window thrown open so wide,
To let in a sliver of ghostly moonlight...
I saw something sprout from your shoulders just then,
With cobwebs and velvet so strong...
Those succubus wings a demons birthright...
Can carry you for just so long.
The night is your day, the day is your night.
So on with another, you search the twilight.
You've hunted a while for victims you need,
Your chest feeling empty - a hunger to feed.
With infrared eyes, you've found your next prey.
Unsuspecting poor creature now frozen at bay...
You scratch his pale skin with nails so long
Infecting your lover with ailment strong,
Inspiring a verse - Instilling a curse...
Mortality fading - metamorphosis changing...
With the strength of a steed that charges with life.
You summoned a creature from where he has lain.
For a lifetime of feeding in eternal dark pain.
Yet another created to stalk this fair land.
Another lost soul to search for a hand...
This one has become - a fiend of the night.
Yes, another shall hunt in the absence of light.
