The Night

And the night came alive in your eyes,
So much pleasure and life in there.
The purity of just that one moment,
The beauty that we did share...
So powerful and so elusive,
It became my breathable air.
I struggle to put into words,
The experience that we did share.

In your eyes burned a fire of passion.
And your hand held the water of life.
To quench this flame would be wrong.
So let it burn, and burn on - so bright.
You see it warms who it touches.
It brings their soul back to life.
Long dead in the coldest of seasons.
Of lonely and long winter nights.

To trust without boundaries, to be free without fear.
She struggled with wishes - he tasted her tears.
One night's passion - as simple as that.
One night's beauty - it's all about that.
I tell you just this, and nothing more:
Be confidant now, as never before...
We have something special, we hold something true.
Remember, fair maiden - my heart is with you.
