Dawn

She drifted as a leaf, tumbling in the breeze,
Eloquently, she brought me to my knees.
Her dance, in spite - of everything around me,
enchanted, amused, and seemed to astound me.

Her grace, you see - was as simple as the song,
She moved to the sound of emotions running strong.
Her limbs portrayed the lines of a delicate embrace.
Her smile belayed the beauty of a pixie held in place.

Like a willow in the currents of a softly spinning brook,
She swirled around the floor, and with my eyes she took,
All the troubles of the day, and problems seem so small.
Inspired by her dance, my thoughts - to words - do fall.
