Contrast

Your luck, I think - shall be like mine...
Seldom are the matches that work well with time.
Be strong, and realize that faith does not a pure heart define.
As actions speak louder, and most are not worthy.
Your mind, your heart, and your elegant form...
Speak truth to this person and brave through the storm.
Words are the mode for love to just travel.
And thousands of miles should fail to unravel.
a bond that's so strong and never can fail.
No fire or brimstone or tempest of hail.
Could sever connection of one such as ours.
As timeless as nature and nebulous stars...
And so I traced a line upon her arm.
A constellation on her skin.
I traced a line upon her face.
And when she slept, I thought of a place.
Where we could escape from all of the world.
Hide deepest away in gentle safe curls.
Like spoons in a slumber of deepest reprise.
I want for that moment, to drown in her eyes.
Long lost in the pallor of everything grey.
My mind has to ponder the right thing to say.
To help her to realize the loss she has made.
Upon my last slumber a curse she has laid.
For now when my eyes close - all I can see.
Is the haunting reflection of that which could be.
I want that, I need that - I cannot abstain.
My life is for nothing with this much to gain.
All colors fade pale to sallow pitch black.
I begged the cruel stars to bring her right back.
They laughed at my pleading, pathetic and wry.
And lost is the love that I gain when I die.
