Diablo 2 or D2 as it is called is a wonderful online role playing game. Blizzard has a wide variety of RPG's out there but I do believe D2 was the first game they came up with. Actually Diablo was their first attempt at an RPG, but who is keeping track....lol.

Yes I admit back in the day, and occationally on vacation. I played and still play Dungeons and Dragons. It was this role playing game that bridged me into other role playing games such as Gamma World, Star Frontiers, Marvel Universe, and the Star Wars role playing systems. If it wasn't for these games, i probably wouldnt be the avid online gamer I am today, thanx Gary Gygax....lol

Diablo 2 is a great game. You have a wide range of characters to pick from. Each character has talent and skills you can develope for special game play. I have played d2 off and on for years. With the release of the d2 expansion pack, 2 new classes were introduced into the game, which really popped the d2 world for a bit.

D2 is a non pay play game. That means you buy the game, install it, and you play for free on their servers. Games such as Everquest, Never winter nights and WORLD OF WARCRAFT, are a pay per month gaming service. I play Warcraft now. I enjoy it alot more than D2, but I still feel even to this day that paying a monthly fee for gaming is ridiculous. I mean, we spent $50.00 per game and then they want us to pay an additional $14.95 per month to play. I once told myself I would NEVER do that, but here I am like a common goyum, paying that amount to blizzard entertainment every month so I can play a game i have grown to love.

D2 is a free game folks. Well not free but you know what I mean. It is a good game for beginners in a RPG gaming multiplayer system. I recommend it. There are tons of items to pick from and alot of interesting graphics. I have issues occationally on D2 with lag, but its hit or miss. Half the time I think its my connection and not their server. D2 is an easy game to master to. Blizzard really did a good job on this and I think its a good purchase. I would download the free demo and give it a shot. I mean, if you don't like it, delete it.

My old roomie Andrew and I created this clan/guild for D2. As we found out it was extremely hard to break into D2 with guilds. I tried to bring CLAN GLOBAL SEDITION into warcraft. It was a bigger success than when we were in D2, however the other 2 leaders of the clan, took control of the group and kicked me out. I have left the page up in hopes that they get sick of the group and leading and drop the name. I would like to take back control of the CGS and give it a good run in WOW. I guess we will just have to wait and see how this all transpires.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT, or WOW as it is more formally called by MMORPG gamers, is by far the ultimate in online mulitplayer RPG's. I absolutely love this game. It is by far the closest thing to Dungeons and Dragons available on the market today. I graphics and gaming is in real time and they rock. The monsters rock, the lands you can travel in rock. The gamme all in all gets a 9.5 from me. There are some issues with it, but nothing so severe you want to stop playing. Once a week the servers are taken down for 8 hours for maintenance. There is some lag in this game on occation, but with 7 million people playing world wide what can you expect. There are hundred of servers to pick from. I play on two servers. One called Gnomeregan, and one called Sen'jin. Gnomeregan is a newer server and has alot of people on it. This can sometimes be an issue. Sen'jin is an older server and has less traffic on it. This game is a DEMO first kind of game. DO NOT BUY IT UNTIL YOU HAVE TRIED IT.

Simply stated, this game here is HUGE
I could try and tell you everything that is in this game, how it works, the various races, the various classes of character, the various skills and professions, but that would take up pages and pages of documentation. I will simply tell you this, there are thousands of clans/guilds out there in this game. There are 7 millon people that play this daily. There are tons of items in this game to be had. There are myriads of different magical spells and abilties to play. There are mounts and boats, and zepplins and lions and tigers and bears...........OH MY.

Nothing I can say will do this justice so I will stop. I will give you folks some warning. About half the people I have met on this game are good folk. The other half take this game so seriously, that if it ever goes down for a month on end, they will hopefully commit suicide and DIE. Yes thats right. I said DIE. I have been playing for a few months now and some of the people in it are the biggest ASSH@LES I have ever had the misfortune of running into online. They take this game so seriously that they forget the manners their parents taught them. They get so wrapped up into being an elf hunter that they forget that they are real people with real jobs and real responsibilities. I have seen people log in at 6am in the morning and play for 2 days straight, just to level their characters.

PARENT BE WARNED:

If you get this game for your kids, you will have to get them a shrink, some riddlin, and a good PC. This game eats souls alive. It is worse than crack, cocaine, or any other street drug out there with the exception of Crystal meth and heroine. This game needs to come with a warning label on it somewhere from the FDA. It needs to come with a free subscription of xanax and a punch card for free therapy. I am not making this up. I myself have played this game for 2 days on end nonstop. No sleep, just gaming. There have been days I myself have forgot to shower. It is a seriously addictive online RPG. If a 34 year old man, such as myself, can be sucked up into it, then anyone can. PARENTS, please play the game first before you allow a child under 10 to play it. All bad language is banned on it, which is good, but people in the general chat can be extemely harsh and rude at times. Please make sure you have a friend near you who can hit you with a broom incase your so hooked into the game an electrical shock is eminating from your body. I know that sounds like a joke, it is and it isn't. Make sure you can walk away from this game. Make sure you eat, clean your house, walk your dog, shower and make love to someone. I have met some seriously derranged and psychotic people on here. I have met people that I assume live in box's under bridges who somehow play this on their laptops with WI FI. I am going into this all so you see that this game is a game that has to be taken in moderation. It is a real time online RPG and as such the days and weather change. Time zones change. Online gaming changes due to environment. It can suck you in a blink and own you. It can destroy relationships and it can consume one 110%. If you find this happening to you, pull the power cord from the wall and run..... NO JOKE....RUN AWAY.

If you think I am joking, load up the demo, which takes all night to load and install it on your pc beast. if you dont have the top of the line PC and broadband connection, don't even waste your time. If you load this p and start playing, make sure you can walk away. Take the time now to start a rehab group in your local area so that you have support when you have to run away from the game.

The game rocks. It does, but the subcultures in it and they way its designed makes it hard to walk away from. Check it out for yourselves. Take the PEPSI CHALLENGE and watch your soul leave via you monitor.

In conclusion, there are tons of MMORPG's out on the market today. Each one is unique and offers the gamer some new aspect the others lack. They are addicitive so be careful. They can be extremely time consuming. BE WARNED. They are as close to myth, magic, and mysticism as most of us are ever going to see. Please take this warning seriously, it is not a joke. I am trying to save you from months of you being on your machine watching your cash run from your bank account and watching your butt get flatter cause your sitting in a rolley chair and not exercising. Play at your own risk.
