Continued: The Puppy Princess
Book#1 in The Puppy Princess Series
Marilyn is startled when a round piece of hard dog food hits her square on the nose.  Marilyn abruptly looks up and sees King Tut wagging his tail from across the aisle with a big smile plastered on his face.

"Someone's coming!  Look cute.  Give'em the big 'ol puppy dog eyes look.  Maybe they'll take one of us home!" King Tut says to Marilyn.

Marilyn groggily gets up and glances down the aisle.  The cage next to her empty.

Where was Caboodle she thought?  Surely, she wouldn't want to miss this.

A young couple comes walking down the aisle.  They point and pause at every cage.  As they get closer, Marilyn sees King Tut give a quick lick to his already groomed coat.

The couple is one cage away.  Marilyn is getting nervous.  She wishes Caboodle, the big black Toy poodle was here.  She would surely know what to do.

King Tut is 'on' and as the couple walks up to him, he sits up proudly, displaying all he has to offer.

They bend down to pet him and King Tut starts listing off all his good qualities on why the couple should take him home with them.

King Tut rambles on as the couple looks on.

"I am well-groomed, well-mannered, and well-versed.  I can provide the utmost in security for your home during my waking hours.  I am innovative yet responsible.  I can go to the bathroom either indoors or outdoors, whichever you prefer," King Tut trails off.

"My, my he has a lot to say," the lady says.

"You'll also be pleased to know that just a twin size bed will suffice for my sleeping quarters.  And I can make do with a few fuzzy blankets and pillows, for the time being, until we can go to the store and get the goose-down feather comforters that I prefer.  I only eat the gourmet wet dog food as you call it, so you can rest assured that I won't be eating or chewing anything else up in your house.  I'm pretty low maintenance. Just supply me with 3 fresh meals a day and water with just a tad of ice in it.  My water bowl needs to be blue though so it enhances the look of the water.  I feel like I'm sipping on water from the blue lagoon.  Let's see.  What else.  I'm easy-going and travel well in cars.  I..."

King Tut is left rambling when the couple thank him and move over to Marilyn's cage.
