Lauren I am so glad you had a great day with Mommy and I at the mall! What a little shopper you were, and that new play house is going to look great in your backyard. I was very glad to see you happy and smiling and talking to me all about Band-Aids, hot dogs, and butterflies! I cant wait to wear the T-shirt you picked out for me at the Disney store, and yours is going to look great on you too...with those sunglasses and new hat you got...BABY you are going to look just stunning! :o) Hug that butterfly hat you got and don't let her fly away! :o) Loves and Hugs to you!

Hi Lauren! I heard that you shopped with Mom and Aunt Nean today and had lots of fun! So, you like pink & purple M&M's today? That sounds so good to me, too. Ivy and I have been doing housework today, mostly cleaning up all the hair that she sheds! Well tomorrow I am going to visit some "Kenzie" puppies, I'll give them a squeeze and a kiss for you! Hope you have happy dreams tonight, Lauren! Love, Margi

Each time I check up on your progress I am overwhelmed by the whole situation. Since I have been traveling on this journey with you I have been able to appreciate all the gifts that I have. Things that use to be a big deal and cause a ruckus are now seen hrough new eyes. I know this is sort of selfish of me to turn this into a me thing, but I am so thankful for the little things and reading your journal helps keep things in perspective. Love to you and your family.

Good Morning, Lauren!! It's cloudy and cool here in Michigan this morning! Ivy and I had our walk and now we have to go out and finish planting our flowers before it rains. I'm hoping your day has some sunshine and smiles and playing with Timmy. And, hop fully, you see Aunt Nean and her Labbies! Oh no, cover your face 'cause they're going to give you big, sloppy Labby kisses!!! Love, Margi

Hi Lauren!! I boo-booed and missed writing to you yesterday and I felt so bad about that! I planted more plants next to your tree today with Ivy trying to help me. She stepped in the dirt and tried to eat the compost--she was so naughty I had to put her back in the house for a while! I hope you are feeling well enough to join your family in all their fun this weekend. It's going to rain here so we'll have our picnic inside. Hope you have pleasant dreams, Lauren! Love, Margi To Lauren's Mom & Dad: I eceived your lovely note and beautiful picture of Lauren. You 2 are in my prayers daily---I can't imagine the burden you carry but I have faith that God is beside you, helping you each day. Enjoy this weekend with your family!!!

Hi Lauren, I am SOOOOO happy that you are back at home with Mommy, Daddy, and Timmy! Did you see that Aunt Nean and I brought our fishies from the classroom over to swim in your tank for the summer? Can you and Timmy help Mommy take care of them? There sure are alot of fish in that tank now, aren't there? I heard that Kenzie is going swimming at Grandma's this weekend, she should have fun in the pond. I hope you'll get to see her there. Have a great weekend with everyone. Tell Mommy and Aunt Nean to take lots of pictures to share with everyone, okay? See you soon. Love, Jane

Dearest Lauren: I hope you will never have to personally feel the desperation of watching someone you love go through what you endoured this past week. To see you not want to talk, play, sing, read a bood, eat or drink was torture for all of us. We tried ard to keep our spirits up and help your mom and dad. Thankfully the results are positive and we can again see a light at the end of the tunnel. I know there are more rough spots ahead but you have bounced back again with your remarkable spirit and if you can, so can we. Love Grandma and Grandpa

Hi Lauren! I'm home now and so is Ivy. She didn't leave my side today--I think she was afraid I would leave her again. I bought some very tall beautiful flowers --Hollyhocks--to plant next to your tree and some pretty green and white grasses for the fron of the garden bed. Think I might just name it Lauren's Garden!! Feeling any better, yet? Boy, I hope so--you have to get back home to be with Timmy! Good night precious Lauren! I hope you dream about playing with little, fluffy yellow puppies!!! Love, Margi

Morning Glories are vibrant, beautiful flowers and when they get lots o sunshine they bloom endlessly. Just like your medicines are going to help you be healthy. I hope your day has some sunshine for you, Lauren!! Love, Margi

Hi Lauren: I have been keeping track of you by reading what your Aunt Nean posts on our Lab Bulletin Board. I am very sad today to read about your fever and stay in the hospital. I hope you are feeling better soon and can go home. I always keep you in my thoughts. I planted a new lilac bush in my backyard this week and I will think of you each morning when I look out at it. Get well soon little one.

Hi Sweet Lauren! I didn't know that you were suffering so much from your Chemo. Praying hard for you to feel better and get back home with Timmy, Mom, & Dad. It's been raining hard here in Texas, lots of thunder and lightening! Caesar and Chance don't lik getting their feet wet outside so we have to coax them outside! Then they get cookies when they come back. Asking God's very special blessings on you, Lauren! Love, Margi

Hi Lauren, I hope that you are feeling a little better this morning. It's been a really rough week for you, hasn't it? I hope that you'll be back at home very soon. Aunt Nean and I are getting ready for our last week of school with the kids before summ r vacation starts. Does that mean you get to take care of our fishies again? They are always so happy when they can come and live in your big fish tank with all your fish. I hope that you're feeling much better soon, hang tough, Lauren. Remind Mommy and Daddy that if they need help with anything to please ask. Feel better, Love, Jane

Update: Lauren was readmitted into the hospital on Tuesday with signs of a fever. She wasn't eating or drinking well. Since then, she has been experiencing the full effect of the high dose chemotherapy that she received last week. She is currently receiving IV fluids, antibiotics, and morphine for pain. She hasn't been running a high fever, but she has had little or no appetite. Deb and I have been alternating back and forth for overnite stays. Lauren has not been sleeping well, so the nights have been pretty long. We are hopeful that she will be well enough to come home early next week. I am posting this information here because a number of people have called and were unaware that Lauren was in the hospital.

Hi Lauren!! Very cloudy, rainy day here. I hope you are felling beeter with your new blood--do you think I would have more energy with some new blood?? I am going to visit my little girl in Texas, yes that BIG place I went to last Feb. I am going to give her lots of hugs, go shopping with her, and play with her dogs. Tell Timmy I hope he does well when he hops today. I'm not sure I could hop as long as he probably will! I'm hoping you have a good day! Sweet dreams tonight, Lauren! Love, Margi

Hi Lauren!! Today was a cold but pretty day in Michigan. I had to wear a coat & hat to walk Ivy. I guess you had to go back to the hospital today for a blood transfusion. You have gone through so many tests a procedures, more than most adults have never ndured. I guess if this is what is going to make you better then you must do it. I think about you every morning on my walk and ask God to give you some happiness during your day. Pleasant dreams, Lauren! Love, Margi
