"I believe that banking
institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
Already they have raised up a moneyed aristocracy that has set the
Government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from
the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." --
Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), US Founding Father, drafted the
Declaration of Independence,
3rd US President
Let's Get Started...
As a business professional, you
are probably interested in concise and unambiguous answers to 5
questions:
How Do I Make Money
Making Change?
How often do you break a $20.00 Federal Reserve Note for a
purchase that is less than $10.00? If our own experiences in
retail are any good, it is far more often than any of us would
like. This is the perfect place to use the Liberty Dollar! As an
officially registered Liberty Merchant,
you can get Liberty Dollars at
a discount (just like the banks get the Federal Reserve Notes) and use
them at full face value! For example, the merchant discount rate
on a given day for $20.00 in Liberty
Dollars is $15.00 (you can get $20.00 worth of Liberty Dollars for only $15.00
FRN). A customer purchases an item that totals $10.00. The
customer pays you with a $20.00 FRN note. You give the customer
his change using a $10.00 Half-Ounce
Silver
Liberty that only cost you $7.50! You just made an extra
$2.50 on the transaction! This is what we mean by making money
making change.
What Are The Benefits?
- Additional exposure of your business to the community
-- NNEA Liberty Associates
will regularly update the listing of Liberty
Merchants in the Region on this website and will periodically
publish a directory containing the most current information
available. Other businesses who accept the Liberty Dollar will tell their
customers about you. You will become part of a network of local
businesses.
- New customers -- The fact that you give REAL SILVER as change will draw
people to your business.
- Repeat business -- Customers who get Liberty Dollars from you will tend
to return.
- Increased profits -- You will make more money.
What Will It Cost?
There is no cost!
You may elect to exchange some Federal Reserve Notes for Liberty Dollars from time to time,
but this is not required.
What Are The Risks?
It is our intent to assume all risks, if possible. The main
concern merchants have is that they will wind up with too many Liberty Dollars and, because the
bank won't accept them for deposit, will be unable to pay suppliers,
meet payroll, or handle other business expenses. For this reason,
the Regional Currency Office (RCO)
agrees, IN WRITING, to exchange your Liberty
Dollars one-for-one for Federal Reserve Notes at least as often
as twice a month, for as long as you remain under the Merchant
Agreement. Each RCO
maintains a special account to ensure that funds will always be
available if you need them. In the unlikely event that more is
needed than the RCO has
available, the national network of RCOs
is available to pool resources. There are no other known or
anticipated risks. NEA Liberty
Associates is currently not
an RCO, however there are 2 in
Arkansas as of March 2005. They are located in Leslie and
Hope. Also, each Silver
Liberty and Certificate
have the NORFED web address
and toll-free telephone number on them to assist you in redemption of
your Liberty Dollars if
you desire.
