Game Watch - This Saturday Night

The Club will meet at Tiny's (upstairs) 9 PM for a pre-game gathering prior to the 10 PM clash of ND vs. Air Force.

Community Service

Dick Notebart has been kind enough to spearhead a drive for a Club community service project involving the tutoring of area students. For further information please contact Dick at 315-733-3658.

Bob Jones is Recuperating at Home

As many of you are aware, Club member Bob Jones has been battling cancer and was recently hospitalized with a severe case of Shingles. He is now home; his telephone number for best wishes is: 315-894-4771.

Upcoming Events

Next Month:

a. The Hesburgh Lecture Series with Fr. William Oliver of the ND School of Business - November 15th beginning at 7 PM at the Good News Foundation Headquarters on Cosby Manor Road in North Utica.

b. On. Saturday, November 16th when the Irish are not playing, the Club will be meeting for the season finale of the Utica College Football team under the direction of Coach Mike Kemp (ND Class of '75). The Club will meet for a pre-game tailgate party (bring your grills) and a post game gathering at USA Sports Bar located in the Holiday Inn.

Continuing Announcements

As you are probably aware, the Club's growing scholarship fund is one that currently provides assistance to eight Mohawk Valley area students to ND. One source of contributions that we have never tapped (but will be repeated in each newsletter as a reminder) is that upon a death, a family in writing the decedent's obituary will consider alternatives for the "in lieu of flowers" provision. Accordingly, the Club is proposing the Idea that consideration be given to the ?Scholarship Fund of the University of Notre Dame Club of the Mohawk Valley" since 100% of the dollars go to local beneficiaries without any administrative costs associated with the donation.
