UND Night/Student Send-Off
May Dinner
NOTRE DAME/SYRACUSE GAME
The UND Night Dinner traditionally held in May is scheduled for Friday night, August 8th at Kitty's Restaurant on the Canal. This will also be our Student Send-off gathering. ND Vice-President Lou Nanni will be the featured guest. Details will be provided in July.
Since we are so accustomed to having a dinner in May, the following is being proposed:
When: Tuesday night, May 27th
Where: Michael T's in New Hartford (joining the biweekly dinner meeting of the "Adirondack Subway Alumni Chapter of the Notre Dame Club of the Mohawk Valley")
What: 6:30 to 7:30, Cocktails
7:30 to 8:30, Dinner
8:30 to 10:30, Viewing of the 2003 Blue & Gold Illustrated Recruiting Video
There will be another announcement about this just prior (noting that the only limiting factor that would change the date on this would be if the BGI video is not available). Its tentative release date is in the "first half of May" but we all know how that goes. If we do not have the video in time, we will schedule the gathering for two weeks later on Tuesday evening, June 10th
The University will be providing the Club a block of ND-SU football tickets (requested 50) to be used as a fundraiser. Accordingly, tickets will be for $75 ($25 as a tax deduction). I note in advance that these will not be premium seats in the Dome (i.e. upper tier but at least in the building). Using a ticket distribution system similar to the University's (including a local lottery as requests are expected to exceed tickets), "applications" will be sent later in the summer following the results from the University's football ticket lottery to dues paying members as of December 31, 2002. In the meantime (in order for the Club to obtain as many tickets for this game as possible):
1. Alums should still order Syracuse tix through the Alumni ticket application recently received,
2. If you are not using your ticket application, you can forward it prior to May 10th to the Club c/o 12 Steuben Park, Utica, New York 13501.
