Club Dues
We will have our first 2002 noon luncheon at Tiny's tomorrow, May 1st at which time we will hear a report from those at the Blue/Gold game this past weekend along with viewing the new Blue & Gold Illustrated videotape of the incoming recruits
Our UND Night Dinner is Friday night, May 17th with ND Asst. Athletic Director Tony Yelovich as the guest speaker. This event again will be held at the Fountain Elms with a cocktail hour beginning at 6:30 PM on the patio followed by dinner at 7:30 with reservations on the Club's voice mail (794?9499) no later than Friday, May 10th. Tickets are $25 per person. Incoming freshman will be the guests of the Club.
If you are not using your football ticket application, the Club would appreciate receiving it by sending it to the NDMV Club, c/o 12 Steuben Park, Utica, New York 13501.
As some of you are aware, long time fellow Club member Bob Jones has leukemia. I am advised by Jim Smith of the following upcomirig fundraisers for which Bob is one of two beneficiaries (the other being the father of a local high school senior whom has been accepted to ND for the Fall):
a From 5?8 PM Thursday, May 16th there will be a spaghetti dinner at the Ilion Elks B.P.O. Lodge 1444 located at 8 West Street in Ilion with adult tickets selling for $8.00 (ages 5?12 $4.00; under 5 free; $20 maximum per family).
b. There is a raffle ($50 ticket) being conducted that evening with only 150 tickets to be sold in advance;
prize is $2,000 and second prize is $1,000.
I have tickets for both of these and I urge you to contact the Club's voice mail at 794?9499 to show your support by requesting tix for yourself or others. Bob, whom is no longer working, has now been referred to the Dana Farber Institute in Boston for treatment. Our prayers are with him!
At this time the Club is trying to gauge the preliminary interest level in a group excursion for the ND vs. Maryland game at Giant Stadium on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, August 31st (8:00 PM). Accordingly, if you have any interest in this, please call the voice mail at 794?9499.
Club Dues of $20 will never be refused by our Treasurer, Kurt Hameline, c/o District Attorney's Office, Oneida County Office Building, Utica, New York 13501.
