Tiny's Luncheon

1. There will be a noon luncheon at Tiny's this Wednesday May 12th at which time we will view a tape of the incoming recruits (produced by Blue and Gold Illustrated).

2. Concerning the annual fall excursion:

Most of you are aware of that the Alumni Club allocation ticket program awarded us the Labor Day weekend game (when the "undefeated" Irish host Texas A&M). The Club is always required to request several years in advance the preferences as to games. When we did, this match-up was originally being played on the last Saturday of September. Since a previous survey of members has indicated a lack of interest in any formal trip this year because of the holiday weekend, we will accept prepaid requests for tickets on a first come first serve basis mailed to 12 Steuben Park, Utica, New York 13501 (along with payment of 1999-00 Club dues of $20.00, if not already paid), The cost of the ticket to the Club is $36.00, but the charge is $40.00 per ticket as a fund raiser. You must pay for the tickets at this time (noting that the cutoff date for the Club to pay the University for the tix is next week), you may request as many tickets as you would reasonably need.

b. Despite the aforementioned, a scaled down version of the trip is being considered by some which would include i) staying in the KOA Cabins in Granger (where the Club has stayed in the past) ii) on the trip home attending the Buffalo Bill's home opener as the Bills seek revenge Sunday night (8:15 PM) on September 3rd, against the Tennessee Titans. This format would be accomplished by vans, which would be rented locally or in Syracuse. The approximate cost of such a trip per individual would be as follows.

a. Hotel, Thursday 8/30 - Ohio, $30.00; a. Tickets, ND, $40.00
b. Hotel, Sunday 9/3 � Buffalo, $30.00; b. Tickets, Buffalo, $ 35.00
c. KOA - Fri. & Sat.* $50.00
d. Transportation (rental van**, gas and tolls), $ 100.00
Total: $ 285.00

*Due to holiday weekend, three right minimum rate applies.

IF THERE IS ANY INTEREST IN THIS PARTICULAR TRIP, YOU NEED TO CALL THE CLUB�S VOICE MAIL (794-9499) UPON RECEIPT OF THIS COMMUNICATION AND EXPRESS YOUR INTENTION

3. Note these dates in June:

Boys & Girls Club Dinner

Tuesday, June 13th for the Boys & Girls Club dinner and cocktail reception at Alfredo's featuring Former ND Heisman trophy winner Paul Horning. The Club is organizing a table for the event. If interested, please call. the Club's voice mail ASAP.

Leahy's Lads Golf Outing

Wednesday, June 21st for the Leahy's Lads Golf outing being held at the Enjoie Country Club in Endicott (where the B.C. Open is played). The proceeds will benefit the Frank Leahy Memorial Scholarship Fund. Carpooling is being organized for both the tournament and the separate dinner/reception (the latter being held at the Grande Royale in Binghamton). The 30 plus ND celebrities who are attending include: Leon Hart, John Lattner, Coley O'Brien, Tony Rice, Kelly Tripucka, and Peter Demmerle. If you need more information, call the Club's voice mail at 794﷓9499.
