About Me

Contact

Currently, I am a graduate student at Ohio University, majoring in Communication Technology and Policy.  My graduate program is a professional interdisciplinary degree focusing on the technical, policy, and strategic issues related to telecommunication and information technologies, systems and services. Its principal focus is on the voice and data networks, with an emphasis on the interaction of technology and policy issues in the successful design, deployment, and operation of complex networks and information systems. My specific area of discipline is telecommunication policy.

I am expected to graduate from Ohio University on August 28, 2004.  Following my graduation I have aspirations of entering a supply chain management, market research, or marketing/operations managerial position.  However, before I enter such a position I would like to gain some more experience in the field.

I currently work as a graduate assistant in the College of Communication.  This position has been very rewarding.  Some of my duties have included planning the Minority Graduate Recruitment College of Communication luncheon, graduate a contact database in MS Access, writing html and uploading stories to College of Communication website, and inputing contact information for past graduates into MS Access.  I also have a significant amount of experience MS Office, SPSS, programming in multiple languages including html and Visual Basic, Adobe Photoshop, DreamWeaver, MS Project, and so forth. I have used these software programs to facilitate several projects for both work and classes.  I enjoy working for the College, and I have seen and learned many interesting things during my time there.

Throughout college I have maintained an excellent GPA while working.  Being at Ohio University has been a great experience for me.  I have developed good study habits and I am an avid student who has a drive to succeed.

I am interested in acquiring some type of position in telecommunication or information technology.  While some day I would like to work internationally, I will not discount the appeal of an MBA from one of my top 5 schools, of course, once I reach a certain level of experience.  The rich field of communication provides innumerable opportunities.  However, I would be able to adapt to any position if given the chance.

In the event an employer is looking for a dedicated employee with resolute work ethic and a conviction to get things done, then I would be a good candidate for a position with your company.  I hope to hear from you soon.

I can be reached at any time by email or by AIM as shown on the contact page.
