Factory Driver is a new feature introduced into Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed.  It allows you to become one of the top Porsche Test Drivers.  You will start out as a Junior Test Driver but as you progress through the game, by completing the set challenges, you will soon become one of the professionals. 

    The challenges you will have to endure will involve Porsche cars from all eras, from the first 356's to the 911 GT3.  The challenges will take place in a lot of different areas, some will be on the tracks which are also featured in Evolution Mode and Single Player Mode but some will take place on the skid pad. 

    The challenges on the tracks will often be races or timed runs through the busy traffic, but some involve you to follow directions and knock over cones on the way, pull 180's half way through the course and lots lots more.  On the skid pad you will have to push your driving skills to the limit as you are instructed to put your car through 180's, 360's and driving backwards.  All within the time limit.  Factory Driver is also a good way to practice an improve your driving skills so that you don't bash up your dream car too much in Evolution Mode.
