It was like an unfinished chapter.
In 2003, Net Championship Wrestling absorbed its main rival AXW, and altercations fans had only fantasized about had now become reality. During the infamous "Monday Night Wars" - when NCW programming competed head to head against AXW - one AXW figure appeared to loom just as large as Matt Xtreme, Poppa Crush, and Jesse Russell. That man was Linkin Core. Linkin Core is arguably the best homegrown talent AXW ever produced. With his pumped body and scowling face, he bulldozed over his opponents, compiling a record-shattering winning streak and snaring AXW gold in his rookie season.

NCW fans waited, but Core didn't come. So devotees turned their attention to other unfolding dramas: the Matt Xtreme and Rose wedding, the ongoing feud between Xtreme and Jesse Russell, Zach Stiller's rise to fame, Jason Knoxville's debut under Bruno Sage's wing, the birth of the Horsemen, and Sean Cena's first reign as NCW Heavyweight Champion, just to name a few.

But speculation about Core never vanished and the rumors remained. According to one report, he was going to stay with AXW until its demise, Another said that he would be joining in NCW in January of 2004. Now, after one-year of anticipation, Core has finally entered NCW, ready to take out his foes, stare into the camera, and bark out his signature catch phrase: "Beware the Core!".

Core grew up in Bronx. A treachorous neighborhood where crime was a daily problem. As a child, he was warned by his parents to be careful everytime he would step out of his house. Whenever he left the confines of his home, only God knew what would happen to him, or anyone else. One day, at the age of 14, Core was on his way back home after a day of school. He ran into a male his age on the walk home, and it forever changed his life. The boy demanded Core give him money or any other possesions he had on him. Core denied he had anything of value, but the boy would have none of it. He shoved him down, and mercilessly beat on him. The boy then took his school bag and ran off, taking a ring that his deceased grandfather had given him, stashed in the bag. Core was found by a group of men who alerted the authorites. Core was taken to a hospital and suffered rib injuries, and stitches to his eye and lips.

When Core was released from the hospital, he refused to return to school, knowing that his assailant could very well see him and attack him once again. His parents forced him to return, and Core obeyed. On that day, the boy confronted him once again, but this time around his schoolmates in the playground. He was wearing the ring Core's grandfather had given him. The boy has said he would not beat on him again seeing as he had gained the ring the last time he did. The boy turned his attentions onto Core's friend however and bullied him instead. Core made a vow that day to get his revenge. Soon enough, he began working out at a local gym. It was very intimidating for Core, considering the other men there were physically dominant to him and very intimidating. In a years time, Core's muscle mass and strength had improved greatly, and he had decided it was time to get his revenge. He confronted the bully after school and threatened him for the return of his ring. He refused and Core immediately took action and assaulted him. Core took out all his frustrations on him and nearly beat the man to death before witnesses had stopped it. Core had gotten his ring back, and the bully had gotten what he deserved.

A few months later, Core moved to British Columbia with his family after his father had recieved a newer, high paying job. Core spent his time at home, unfamiliar with his new country. That was when Core began watching wrestling, specifically the WWF/E. As the months went by, Core came across IGNWF. An efed run by IGN. Core joined the efed but quit soon after. It was then where Core came across AXW. He liked what he saw and joined. Core became AXW's first online applicant. Core made his debut at AXW WrestleMania on March 30th, 2003. He made an impact by attacking multiple men backstage at the event, Soon, Core revealed himself on an episode of Carnage and entered himself in a 10-man Battle Royal for #1 contendership for the AXW Xtreme Championship. Core won that match and then found himself in a feud with champion, Brian Lee. Core defeated Lee and won his first AXW title. As months went by, Core went on to bigger opponents. Evening going against AXW legend, Jason2Sweet at Evil Deeds where his wining streak was broken. Core was also a part of the faction called the Xtreme 4(X4).

Core won his first AXW Undisputed Championship at No Holds Barred in October. He lost it to Avenging Angelo at Survival, only to win it the next night. Core went on to feud with Morbid, a demonic human being that brought out Core's destructive side to life again. Core lost the title to Morbid at AXW's final PPV, Supremacy. Linkin Core will go down as one of the last AXW Champions. Now, with AXW folded, Linkin Core will truly challenge himself by entering the lion's den of NCW.

Core realizes that his AXW glory means nothing in the NCW ring. Other NCW Netstars experienced greatness in other places too - Sean Cena and Bruno Sage in EWF, Christian Rosario in EWW, and Dave Vertolli in AXW. But in NCW, they all had to start from the bottom. Reportedly, Core finds this scenario exciting. Afterall, NCW is a new beginning. And for him, the possibilities are endless.
