On Tuesday, May 23, 2000, after the terrible storm that hit Bardstown, my 5 year old son, Benjamin and I went to check on my father. My father wasn't at home. As we drove through the north end of town, I noticed a lot of trees were down. I decided to check on my mother's grave in the Bardstown Cemetary. As we struggled to find an entrance that wasn't blocked by damaged trees, Benjamin looked at me at said "Mom, I just hate damage. It is so democratic." I though I would die. I guess our political views rub off at a very early age.
