Enticed to marry
Punu Ram of 58/D.B. Yazman Mandi District Bahawalpur who worked for Chaudhry Mansoor Ali as agriculturer labour and lived with his family on farms. He informed that one Mansoor Ali enticed her daughter Shamoo Mai, 28 who is already married to Faqerea Ram and had a seven years old daughter. She was living with her parents because she had severed relationship with her husband. Mansoor Ali promised her that he will divorce his first wife and will marry her. On April 13, 2006 Shamoo went to the doctor with her daughter on the way Mansoor enticed her and she went with him but afterwards he took her to Darul-Aman (shelter home for women in distress). He also threatened her that if she went back to her family, she and her family would be killed.Punu Ram could not afford to file a case against the accused due to his poverty. She was still in Dar-ul-Aman with her daughter till this report.                                                                              NCJP report

Gujranwala
• A Christian married woman Rifat (27) was gang raped by Atif Gondal, Tariq and three unidentified persons On May 17, 2006. Police did not register an FIR they forced the victim and her family for compromise, her medical test was also not carried out. The FIR was registered after a lapse of 12 days, but without a mention that she had been raped. On June 26, 2006 she filed a petition at Sessions Court Gujranwala. In October 2006 the Court dismissed the case due to unavailability of the medical report.                                                                                                 NCJP report

• Usman and Kashif raped the daughter of Nisar Masih. On her way to her uncle’s house, the accused forcibly took her to the nearby field and raped her. Gang rape - Muridke
Five men of Muridke Tajmal, Muddasar, Fath-e-Muhammad, Nisar and Azeem had abducted daughter of Hadait Masih student of class six, of Nishat Colony Lahore, when she was coming from her school.They took her to Iqbal Park Muridke and raped her. The girl shouted for help, so the locals of the area rushed to the place, four assailants were handed over to police, Tajmal managed to escape. A case was registered after the victim’s medical report. Afterwards police stated that the four accused managed to escape when they were brought to the police station.

When City police was contacted they stated that one accused had been arrested and soon the others will be. The victim’s family alleged that the police was favouring the accused.

Gang rape - Faisalabad
In November 1999 Umer Hayyat resident of Chak 106 RB Khurrianwala, Mubarik Ali resident of Chak 134 RB, Ashraf and Shahzad ganged raped Saima Bashir a Christian of Chak 144 RB Faisalabad. They also took away cash from the house. All accused were sentenced to death and executed on June 29, 2006 in Faisalabad.                               Daily Nawa-e-Waqt June 29, 2006

Murdered after the rape
1- Asia (9) a Christian, of Kasur was abducted by Muhammad Arshed on November 2, 2006. He raped and then killed her. Her father filed an FIR against the accused, police arrested him. He confessed to the crime and was sent to Kasur jail. The trial was on.                         NCJP report

2- Salma Bibi (15) daughter of William Masih of Sahiwal, a Christian domestic worker was murdered after rape. She worked for Tahira Kalsoom, wife of Amin Jutt for eight years and also lived in their house.

On June 20, 2006 Salma’s parents were called and told that their daughter had died because of diarrhoea. They took her dead body with them Tahira also accompanied them.When the body was given bath marks of torture were identified, so the body was taken to the hospital for post mortem. Initially the lady doctor said that she was raped before murder but later, because of some influence she did not mention it in the medical report.An FIR was registered, but police has stopped investigation on the excuse that they were waiting for the chemical examiner’s report. Enticed to convert to Islam
Shamshad Bibi, a Christian wife of Shahzad Masih resident of Chichawatani district Sahiwal was enticed by Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad Gill that he would marry her, if she converted to Islam.

On May 29, 2006 Shamshad went to the house of Chaudhry where she reportedly embraced Islam. After that she was sent to Darul-Aman (shelter home) she was threaten that if she would go back, her family would kill her.Later a relative met Shamshad at Darul-Aman and dispelled all doubts regarding her insecurity.
