Labourers – Dera Ismail Khan
On July 22, 2006 about 70 Christian labourers from different villages of Kot Addu shifted to work at Chashma Sugar Mill No.2 Dera Ismail Khan. They faced discrimination on the basis of their religion on the very second day of their jobs. Utensils (plates, glasses, spoons etc), used by them were separated in the factory canteen and local restaurants. They were not provided food on time. They were refused to be entertained in the crockery used by Muslim customers. The Mill administration was informed but they were unable to repair the situation. All the Christian laborers were forced to leave their jobs and start searching for work again.                                                                                      NCJP report

She applied for transfer to Quetta to stay with her husband at the same station. The Education Department Officer (EDO) - Quetta issued No Objection Certificate for her transfer for adjustment to the Director of Education of Schools - Balochistan. There was no progress on her application by the officials stating her file was lost.

She applied again and the Director of Schools issued her transfer order on July 2006. The Deputy District Officer - Zhob also relieved her on August 5, 2006 on the Director’s order.

However, she was refused to join at Quetta, by the officer stating the vacant vacancy had already been filled. She wrote a letter to EDO - Quetta requesting him to transfer her to another school. After two months the EDO - Quetta replied to concerned branch that Rubina should be sent to DCO Quetta for appointment.
