Declaration Burial stopped
On December 5, 2006 Bakht Bibi an Ahmadi of Thatha Chandoo a village near Rabwa died. When body was taken to the graveyard where Ahmadis of the same family had been buried also, police stopped the people from burying her body. They claimed to have orders from the higher authorities for doing so.The police was requested to permit the burial in the personal piece of land of her family, near the combined graveyard. After getting permission from higher officials police permitted them to do so. The local clerics again protested against the decision; however police managed to control them this time.                                                                                          Ahmadi Community

Category of graveyard
On March 8, 2006, the daughter of Mr. Muhammad Hanif died and was buried in a common graveyard at Chanda Singh Wala village, Kasur. A week after the funeral Clerics of the area demanded that the body of the girl should be removed from graveyard. The police acquired a statement from the relatives of girl that they would not use the graveyard again and also assured them that no further action would be taken in this matter.

On the same day three police vans came to the Ahmadi’s family, took hold of their telephone set and ordered them to exhume the body during the night. The girl’s body was buried again in the Ahmadi’s graveyard-Kasur under police supervision.                                     Ahmadi Community

Booked in a fabricated murder charge - Gujrat
Three Ahmadis namely Basharat, Nasir Ahmad and Muhammad Idrees along with seven others of Chak Sikandar, District Gujarat were arrested in September 2003 on a concocted charge of murder of an Imam. The police, after due investigation found no prove against the accused. Still the innocent faced a trial for a crime they did not commit. Based on the testimony of the two alleged eyewitnesses, which was proved false. The court acquitted seven of the accused, but on the evidence of the same two eyewitnesses the court sentenced these above named Ahmadis to death. Appeal against the verdict was pending before Lahore High Court. The accused had spent over three years in prison for their innocence.                                                             Ahmadi Community

Murder
Sheikh Rafiq Ahmad - Karachi
Sheikh Rafiq Ahmed, an Ahmadi (42), was murdered by armed attackers at his store, around mid-day, in Manzoor Colony on March 19, 2006 at Karachi.

Sheikh Rafiq Ahmad owned a small shop in the locality. Two or three men wearing helmets arrived on a motorcycle. They shot him thrice in head, neck and abdomen. The assailants fled immediately. Sheikh Rafiq was rushed to Jinnah hospital where he expired on the same day. Sheikh Rafiq reportedly had no personal vendetta with any one.                                        Ahmadi Community

Armed Attack
Two assailants attacked Sheikh Abdul Quddoos Wasim Ahmad, Ex - Secretary of the Ahmadi community while his was in his electronics’ store on March 16, 2006 at Rahimyar Khan. The bullet hit him on his back. The assailants fled from the scene thereafter. He was rushed to the hospital where he recovered.                                                                                  Ahmadi Community

Mandi Bahauddin massacre
On October 7, 2005 some unknown persons attacked the Ahmadi place of worship at Mandi Bahauddin; eight Ahmadi’s were killed by firing. Police arrested Amir Mehmood. He was charged after the investigation.He was acquitted on July 14, 2006 by Justice Mujahid Mustaqeem of Anti - Terrorism Court because of lack of valid evidences.                           Daily Pakistan July 16, 2006

Master Munawar
Two unknown assailants (on motor bike) knocked at the door of Master Munnawar Ahmad. When he came out they started firing at him and escaped. He received five bullets and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.                                                                  NCJP report

11 Ahmadi doctors killed in Sindh since 1984
22 Ahmadis had been killed in Sindh since 1984, 11 of which were doctors. The community said that the doctors killed were reknowned secularists and they were murdered because of their religious background.                                                                           Daily Times May 5, 2006
