On an average, a family keeps about 10 to 15 cattle heads, but they seldom use the by-products for any useful purpose. Taking this as a queue, the Council is experimenting production of ayurvedic (traditional) preparations such as tooth-powder, incense-sticks etc. from these by-products available in abundance in these regions.

The marketing has been tied up with a  womens' cooperative society in Varanasi. It is proposed to develop a package of 5 to 6 mass consumable items and market them, thereby enhancing their income.
