• To prepare a list of the organisations already working in the field of isotope hydrology along with the current activities trained manpower and facilities available in their isotope hydrology laboratory



• To collect all published research papers and technical reports from the various organisation/individuals working in the filed of isotope hydrology and allied subjects in the country and to prepare a detailed report on the utility and importance of the work carried out



• To hold the meeting of the committee at different places and to invite experts working in the field of hydrology and water resources in that region



• To organise international, national conference / workshops in order to disseminate the uses of isotope techniques for solving practical problems related to hydrology and water resources



• To identify various problems in the field of hydrology and water resources on regional basis which could be studied using isotope techniques



• To organise summer / winter training programmes specifically for academicians who are working in the field of hydrology and water resources and in allied subjects in order to create in them interest to introduce isotope hydrology courses in the syllabus



• To provide consultants for strengthening / establishing isotope hydrology laboratories in the country



• To prepare a list of various isotope measurements that can be offered by the various isotope hydrology laboratories available in the country either on payment basis or free of charge.
