Rome Italy
                The Arch of Constantine.
Rome is one endless museum. One can experience the Antique Rome, Christian Rome, Renaissance, Baroque and Modern Rome.

From ancient Rome, this triple  arch was built to celebrate the victory of Constantine over the Emperor Maxentius (312 A. D.) and the transition of Rome from the pagan to the Christian world.

There are many convents that offer accommodation in Rome. We stayed at "Il Rosario", very near to the Colosseum, on our first visit.
The sisters had a wonderful machine in the dining room that dispensed many kinds of Italian coffees, and hot chocolate.
On our  April 2002, visit,  we stayed at "Casa Beata Margherita Caiani", which was a delightful experience and very convenient to the Vatican and  the metro.
La Frutteria
This shop was found close to the Vatican in Rome.  The displays in food shops of Italy are often works of art.
The "Roman Flower Stand" image is one of the Italian images now available  on articles of clothing and giftwear  at the CAFEPRESS site which features my Italian art work.

There, you may also find gretting cards and other items in the Italian language.
