"What do you mean he kissed you," Christa asked.
"The lights went out, and I was trying to find him. Then I bumped into him, and he kissed me. But it's weird because I wanted to kiss him, too," Aimee told Christa over the phone.
"What! I thought you guys didn't like each other," Christa asked her.
"I know. But... I don't know. It's weird. I have this connection with him," Aimee told her.
"Oh gosh, girl! Isn't it sort of weird, though? I mean, isn't he Brian's best friend," Christa asked her.
"I don't know. Brian and I aren't going out or anything. What's the problem," Aimee asked.
"Can't you tell that he still likes you," Christa asked.
"No, he doesn't! He has a girlfriend," Aimee said, lying on her bed.
"Okay. Don't believe me. Well, I have to get going. I will call tomorrow. Bye," Christa said, then hung up the phone.
Aimee put down the phone and plopped down in her bed. She sighed, when she thought about Nick. She had this goofy grin on her face, when she looked into the mirror by her bed. She threw back the covers, closed her eyes, and fell into a pleasant sleep.

"So do you think I should call her again? See if she wants to talk or something. I really didn't get to talk to her much yesterday because of that little accident," Brian told Nick.
"I don't know, Brian. How does Leigh feel when you talk about Aimee this much," Nick questioned him.
"I don't talk about her when Leigh is around. But I can never stop thinking about her. Sometimes, I think I should break up with Leigh and try to get Aimee back because I love her so much," Brian explained to him.
Nick looked down at the floor, when Brian said that he loved her. Nick felt terrible. He wasn't sure if he wanted to tell Brian what happened that night.
     "What's wrong, Nick," Brian asked.
"Nothing. It's nothing. I think if you really love her that much, you need to ask if she would take you back. But Leigh really loves you. Do you really want to do that to her," Nick asked him.
"I don't want to break Leigh's heart. I already did that to a girl. What should I do," Brian asked Nick.
"I don't know, Brian. But can I ask you something," Nick asked, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Yeah, sure. Go ahead. I've already told you all my problems. Now it's your turn," Brian said with a sigh.
"Well, I was wondering if you um.. well..." Nick said, but couldn't get himself to say it.
     "Well what," Brian asked him.
"Nevermind. It's not important," Nick said, then turned away.
"Oh, okay then. Well, I'm going to go. Thanks for listening to me and my problems," Brian said with a smile, then went out of Nick's house.
Nick waved to Brian, then shut the door behind him. He put his hand through his hair and plopped down on the couch. He was about to tell Brian what happened between him and Aimee, but couldn't tell him. Whenever Brian mentioned that he still loved Aimee, Nick felt his heart sink. He couldn't believe what was happening. He picked up the phone and went to dial Aimee's number.

Aimee heard the phone ring. She moaned and picked up the phone that was lying by her bed.
     "Aimee," Nick asked.
"Oh. Hi, Nick," Aimee said with a surprised tone.
"I really need to talk to you. Do you think you could come over or we could meet somewhere," Nick asked her.
"Um, I think it would be better if we met somewhere. How about by that beach that we all met at," Aimee asked.
"That would be good. I will meet you there in 45 minutes. See you then," Nick said, then hung up.
Aimee, also, hung up the phone and headed to her bathroom. She washed herself up and pulled her hair up into a ponytail. She put on a pair of jeans and a yellow tank top. She slipped on her shoes and grabbed her keys. She headed out the door and went to her car. She sat in the driver's seat and put the keys in. She sat there and wondered if seeing Nick again was such a good idea. She wasn't sure about seeing him again. She didn't know what she was going to say. She pulled out of the driveway and headed to the beach. When she pulled her car in, she parked it next to a silver BMW that she thought was Nick's. She stepped out and put her sunglasses on. She looked around and saw Nick looking out at the waves. She went up to him and was standing behind him. He turned around and gave her a smile.
"Hey, I'm glad you're here. About yesterday..." Nick started to say.
"I don't think it was a good idea. I think we just got into the moment or something," Aimee said.
Aimee put her head down, but felt Nick's hand gently lift her head up. He looked into her eyes.
"Are you sure that's why it happened," Nick asked.
Aimee didn't know what to say. They started to lean closer together. Their lips were about to touch, but then she heard someone calling out her name.
"Aimee," Brian yelled, running over to her.
"Hi, Brian," Aimee said, pulling away from Nick.
