Biography

A North Branford native and a true historian of the game of wiffleball, no one puts more effort into each outing than Chris Connolly. Researching the physics of the game endlessly, he is always out to find the next breakthrough to gain the upper hand.
Armed with a repertoire of six pitches, Chris baffles opposing hitters with pinpoint control, changing speeds, and lots of movement. Chris doesn't overpower anyone - he relies on his brains and gut instinct to out-think and out-pitch his opponent with a mix of sliders, curveballs, fastballs, sinkers, screwballs and changeups. He got himself into trouble early on in the 2001 season by throwing too many of the same pitch and becoming predictable, but has worked tirelessly in the offseason developing a feel for his moving fastball which should keep batters more honest. If he can prevent the long-ball and get help from his defense, Chris is poised for a stellar 2003 season on the mound.
Never known for his batting, he worked long hours in the offseason to work on his power stroke and contact ability. Always possessing a good eye at the plate, he hopes to build on his spring training success to slap hits to all sides of the field, and rely on his strong on base percentage to manufacture runs.
